The Delight in Pastries (Ended) Empty
PostSubject: The Delight in Pastries (Ended)   The Delight in Pastries (Ended) EmptyThu Jan 31, 2013 11:19 pm

Waving goodbye to the last lingering friend, Melanna Porie turned back to head into the shop she had been previously browsing. She had just got done spending two hours doing nothing, but approving clothes for some group date that she wasn’t even going on. She had been invited, of course, but she didn’t have someone to actually go with. It would have been awkward for her. Therefore, she politely declined, and made up some lame excuse about needing to finish some book she was reading.

Mel gave a soft sigh, and tried to concentrate on the rack of clothing in front of her. She briefly pondered the idea of treating herself to some new clothes, but she was in the middle of saving up for pair of tennis shoes. She let the fabric of the silk top she was holding slip through her fingers before turning around to leave the store.

She walked aimlessly through the shopping mall until she hit the food court. All of a sudden, she was hit with the delicious aroma of potentially unhealthy food, and she found herself being drawn to a pastry shop that was close-by.

Melanna’s mouth watered at the various items that were listed on the board in front of her. Mel pulled her thick black hair up, and smiled at the teen behind the counter.

”I’d like three Danish Pastries, please.”, she ordered, still smiling. He nodded, and got the items from behind the display case. She then grabbed her wallet, so she could pay him. Once her pastries were in hand, she went to one of the many tables that littered the place, and took a seat. Taking a bite, she practically moaned at the delicious taste that filled her mouth.

The Delight in Pastries (Ended) Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Delight in Pastries (Ended)   The Delight in Pastries (Ended) EmptyFri Feb 01, 2013 12:42 am

Irene sighed as she finally arrived at the mall. Today's traffic had been awful so she had arrived much later than she had wanted too. 'Ah well, such is life', she mused wryly. She had wanted to get here early and pick up a few things for her family and be home in time to cook dinner before her husband came home and beat her to it. She just didn't understand why everyone seemed so intent on keeping her out of the kitchen. She didn't mind cooking and she hadn't made anything that looked like a fifth grader's science project in ages. So what was the fuss about?

During these musings, she took the opportunity to glance at the large map they had posted since she didn't know just where she was headed. The mall changed shops and things so often that it really didn't do you much good to learn the layout of where everything was by heart. Once she found where she was going on the map, she quickly made her way there and browsed the racks of jeans. Her son Kukaku went through so many of them due the stress that his job put on his clothes so he had asked her that morning if she would pick up a couple of pairs for him while he was at work and he would pay her back when he got his paycheck. Speaking of which, she thought as she glanced at her watch, he should be home now. She sighed again, she really had been hoping to back by now. She shrugged and just decided to go with it. There wasn't really anything that she could do about it so why let it bother you. That was the quickest way to needlessly stress yourself out after all.

So after a few more minutes of browsing, she found a couple that she thought he might like and madeher way to register. After paying for them and dutifully ignoring the sales clerk who clearly thought she was as old as she looked despite her actual age. He wasn't overbearing however, so she let it slide. She could've complained but really what would that do and he hadn't been blatant about it so what was the harm? Let the young man dream and all that.

After she left the store, she happened to spot her favorite pastry shop which was one of the few places that had managed to stay here for awhile unlike many other places. Hmm, why not stop and treat herself a bit? After all, she didn't get the chance to come here often and since she really didn't have a set time to be home; she didn't think that anyone would mind. So, she went over and got a couple of their strawberry tarts. The tiny little things were heaven and she was rather addicted to them. After paying for her treats, she looked around to find a place to sit but it was rather busy in the food court that particular day so when she finally spotted a seat next to a young lady eating a danish, she went for it.

"Is this seat taken, sweetie?" she asked with a bright smile, pointing to the empty chair with her free hand.

So wrapped up in her pastries, Mel had not noticed the woman until she spoke to Melanna. She glanced up at the stranger with the Danish stuffed halfway into her mouth, and bit off the section before swallowing it, so she could speak.
”Go right ahead!”, she answered with a cheerful voice before adding,

”I’m Melanna, but people usually call me Mel.” She gave grinned at the woman and began to eat her food once more. She finished the last of her pastries, and looked back up at the other female. She grabbed one of the napkins she had grabbed before she had sat down, and wiped her face off.

”So… Did you come here for any specific reason? Shopping for new clothes, or just spur of the moment?” She was not trying to pry, but she did not like the idea of sitting with someone and having silence between them. It made her uneasy, and she so she often ended up making random small talk as often as possible.

Irene smiled at the young lady's enthusasium as she set her items on the table, getting settled in. Her table mate looked like a nice young girl and that bright smile really lit up her face.

"Thank you kindly, sweetie," Irene said as she sat down with a grateful sigh. She may not be an old lady yet but that didn't mean that she had the energy that she used to. Walking the crowded mall for a while would take its toll on anyone after a while she supposed.

"That's a lovely name that. Sounds like something out of a song," she replied, a little southern charm easing into her voice. Then she gave a quick chuckle at herself, " Would ya just listen me, waxing poetic about random things. I hope ya can ignore some random musings."

Irene smiled as she watched the young lady finish her treat and nodded her head when the she gave out her name," My name's Irene Delaine but you can me Irene if you like. I've really been particular what people call me."

Irene unwrapped the fork that was given with her tarts and took a bite from the wonderful confection. She sighed lightly at the taste of heaven that it was before she answered Melanna's question.

" Just went to get my son some new work clothes. Poor boy goes through like you wouldn't believe since he's in construction but he works very hard so I guess it pays off in the end wouldn't ya say," she replied and took another bite," How about you? Any special reason or just for fun?"

{OOC: I'm so sorry that this is so short and late. School has been eating my free time like pac-man eats fruit. T_T I hope this isn't too disappointing.]

Melanna smiled back at Irene and gave a small giggle. She stopped giggling though to reply to the woman, “It’s no problem. I’m just glad that I’m not alone anymore. It’s kind of sad seeing all these people with their friends, and I am just sitting here stuffing my face with sweets.” She was babbling now, but it was only because she was feeling slightly nervous around the woman. She really hoped that she wouldn’t scare the woman off with how random her words were.

Thanks. I think it’s quite odd, if you ask me,” She responded, her face lighting up in a slight blush at the compliment. “It’s fine. I babble a lot, myself,” She said with a small laugh. She continued to smile as the other introduced herself.

That’s quite a pretty name too!” Mel said as she set her now empty plate aside. She rubbed her stomach absent-mindedly, and studied the woman’s face. She didn’t look nearly old enough to have a son that would be old enough to work in construction. And she blurted this thought out, “You don’t look old enough to have a son!” As soon as she said that, her face grew even redder then before, but now it was due to embarrassment.

I am so sorry. I didn’t mean to say that,” She apologized, her head falling in shame.

Me? I was with my friends while they picked out outfits for their dates. So, no, not really a special reason.

Irene smiled a little as she listened to new companion. Yes, she was babbling a bit but didn’t everyone do that from time to time when they were nervous. Besides, meeting new people was always nerve-racking no matter who you were. Irene didn’t really mind anyways since she had a nasty habit of doing it herself.

Oh I know what ya mean. No matter how nice the sweets are they can never match up to having a good conversation, am I right?” she replied with a bright smile after taking another bite of her tart.

Her smile grew a bit at the blush, such a cute little girl. She tempted to cooing at the sight but she doubted that a girl Melanna’s age would appreciate that. She remembered how she used to hate it when older ladies did that to her when she was that age.

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder they say. For whatever it’s worth, hun, I still think its pretty,” she stated kindly, cocking her head to the side like a cat,” And thank you for the compliment. It’s mighty kind of you.”

What finally broke her and her start giggling at the girl’s cuteness was when the topic of her age finally came up. She stifled them back down after a couple of minutes so as to not offend her new friend.

I’m sorry hunny. I’m not laughing at you. I promise I’m not and I’m not mad either, just so ya know,” she said, still choking back a few light laughs,” It’s just that you seemed so surprised is all. I keep forgetting that people think I’m younger than I am just cause I don’t have as many wrinkles as I should at my age. But yes, I do have a son, two of ‘em in fact, along with a daughter, she’s my youngest. She just turned nineteen this year.”

She nodded her head, though she knew Melanna wouldn’t see with her head down like that. That wouldn’t do at all.

Ah date clothes huh? I used to do that for my friends all the time before we all got old and married,” she replied,” Toki and I seem to be the only ones that still go on dates anymore though. Sort of a shame if ya ask me. You can still go on dates with your spouse once you’re married. Keeps things fresh. And you can take my advice on that one.” She finished with a laugh.

Melanna nodded in agreement. It was much better talking to someone. Some people valued their time alone, but Mel was not one of them. She always had to have someone to be interacting with. She didn't particularily care how they interacted. Just as long as she didn't have to hear the annoying piercing sound that came with the lack of sound. This was why she was always in crowded places. Someone was always talking, laughing, or even crying.

"Thanks," she said once again with a laugh before adding, "No
problem, just stating what is true." A grin began to spread across her face, but it was interuppted when the other stared laughing.

Mel felt panic rise in her. Was she laughing because Mel sounded childish, or something? Her hands flew up and began to make gestures as she tried to find someway to apologize. Again. But before she could get anything out, Irene stopped giggling and explained. Mel let out a sigh of relief at that. He hands fell to the table with a thud, and she let out a giggle of her own.

"It isn't just the lack of wrinkles, it's... the way you seem to present yourself. It just seems so lively," then she added, "In my opinion anyways," with a grin.

"That's awesome. I've always wanted kids of my own, but I'm not quite ready to settle down myself."

"You still go on dates? That's so cute! None of the married couples I know still date. Then again, I don't know many of them," Mel replied.

The Delight in Pastries (Ended) Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Delight in Pastries (Ended)   The Delight in Pastries (Ended) EmptyFri Apr 12, 2013 2:11 pm

This was turning out to much more fun than she would have ever expected; a much better way to spend the afternoon than just going through racks of clothes. Jeans weren’t very good at holding conversation, you see. Plus, it was always nice to make new friends, especially ones that appeared to in a unit. You needed all the allies you could get in that world and Irene had a feeling that something big was going to go down and soon. She wasn't quite sure what or when but something was on its way; her instincts were screaming that at her and they hadn't lead her wrong yet.

However, that last bit was just a theory, along with Mel even being in a unit since she hadn't heard a ring or seen a Name and she didn’t want to put all her cards on the table if she was wrong. She would lay low for a bit and gather more info on the matter. Slow and steady won the race after all. In the meantime, she would enjoy her new companion’s company. Even if she wasn’t in a unit, she could still stand to make another friend or two. Those were always valuable in their own ways.

Ah well, thank you again, Mel. Always a nice balm to the ego to hear things like that,” she replied with a light chuckle,” But to be perfectly honest, I’ve never really focused on things like that. It just never seemed important ya know?”

She nodded,” Good to know that you realize that. So many young people bring children into the world thinkin they’re ready when they aren't. You’ve got time dear, don’t rush and wait for the right time. Everyone always ends up happier that way, “ she sighed lightly,” That’s been my experience anyway.”

Irene laughed again at that, just a quick, light little chuckle," Cute huh? I guess I never really thought of it that way. We only go on them to get a little alone time away from all the stress. Stress can kill a marriage ya know."

"The ones that I know don't either and I know quite a few of them," she replied with a small twinkle of mirth in her eyes.

The Delight in Pastries (Ended) Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Delight in Pastries (Ended)   The Delight in Pastries (Ended) EmptyMon Apr 15, 2013 9:18 am

Mel fiddled with a loose strand that hung off her shirt as she listened to her companion talk. She could feel herself beginning to get restless. The young woman didn’t really enjoy sitting for very long, especially after eating something so fattening. Her body was screaming at her to go exercise.

Even if it was just running around the block, or doing some jumping jacks. It didn’t matter, she just had to move. She could practically feel her stomach expanding, getting bigger, as she sat there. She tried to fight off the urge to just say goodbye and take off running through the mall.

She bounced her legs and gave Irene a weak smile. She couldn’t just leave the woman. It would be terribly impolite for her to do so. She had to at least wait for the other to be ready to go too. Mel swallowed thickly and force the anxiety down.

”I completely understand that one. More than half of my friends were pregnant by the time I was twenty, and I hadn’t even a long term relationship yet. I’m definitely not in any rush. I have plans for my future and I don’t want to be tied down to anyone that might hold me back. Maybe when I’ve accomplished what I want to, I might settle down, but not till then,” Mel replied, and her weak smile became a real one as she managed to distract herself with something else.

“It’s definitely cute. I’ve seen marriages fall apart because all they did was sit at home and bicker. It’s kind of sad really. Most of them were really good for each other, and plus what kind of example is that for your kids?” She asked thinking of her own parents and the disaster they called their marriage.

The Delight in Pastries (Ended) Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Delight in Pastries (Ended)   The Delight in Pastries (Ended) EmptyTue Jul 02, 2013 2:04 pm

Irene could see her new acquaintance’s jittering, though to Melanna’s credit it would have been hard to spot for someone less versed in body language. You had to know how to read people if you were a part of this world of theirs. She was likely jittery like that due to all the sugar she had just consumed; who wouldn’t have been? Irene herself was getting a little hyper from her own treat.

But she brought her attention back to her companion. “ A very good plan from the sounds of it, dear. Children are wonderful gifts but they’re much better gifts when you’re prepared for them. I wouldn’t trade my children for all the treasures in the world and I know my husband would tell you the same.”

Her eyes went a touch misty at that, not that she really understood why. But she quickly blinked away the wetness; it was really more of an inconvenience at the moment, more than anything else. Besides, she didn’t want to give the impression of sadness either. Interacting with others, especially those that you don’t know, is such tricky business.

She nodded in sad agreement with her new friend,” Oh yes, I completely agree. I’ve watched too many marriages, no, relationships in general now that I think about it, break down under stress like that.”

As she had been speaking she had been doing her best not seem to jittery or too hyperactive herself from all the sugar but she wasn’t sure how successful at hiding all that she was. Ah ha! Irene was hit with a sudden flash of inspiration. She had just the thing to work all that sugar out of her system.

If I could steal a few more moments of your time, how about we go for a bit of a stroll?” she suggested,” Work off a bit of this energy buzz? Does that sound good to you?”

Melanna grinned at Irene’s approval of her plan. It made it even more worth the fact she had pretty much avoided serious relationships in her attempt to achieve her goals without yet another obstacle. Her friends didn’t even agree with her on it either. They had been telling her that she should just settle down and let a man support her and that she should just become a trophy wife.

“You’re the only one who thinks it’s a good idea though,” She replied with a slightly bitter laugh before adding, “I don’t want to be some guy’s pretty wife that does everything she is told. I want to be financially independent, you kn-,”

She stopped talking the moment she realized she was going a bit too personal for a conversation with some lady she just met. She blushed and ducked her head in embarrassment before saying, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to go off on a tangent.”

Mel let out a mental sigh of relief at the change of topic and nodded eagerly. It seemed like an excellent idea to go for a walk. She would be able to chat some more and not look awkward walking through the crowded mall alone.

“That sounds amazing. I don’t like being still for too long,” She said while a bright slime spread across her face. She stood up and stretched her arms above her head. She worked out the slight kinks in her back from being slightly hunched over while sitting before glancing at her companion.

“Any particular direction you wish to go?”

Ah I see you’ve gotten that “great advice” too, huh?” Irene said with a wry smile,” I’ve gotten it before myself. Trust an older lady when I say this: that’s one of the worst things you can do with your life and you won’t end up happy that way. I had a few friends to go that route so I’ve seen how wrong it can go.”

Irene sighed at the memories. She had always wondered why in the world they had thought that was a good idea at the time but she knew they hadn’t really been thinking all about the consequences all that much. That was one of the pitfalls of youth she supposed. Luckily, her new acquaintance appeared to the type that thought about their actions; a good trait to have if you asked her.

Sweetie, from what I can tell, you seem to have a good head on your shoulders and that you’re thinking seriously about your future. That’s a really good thing to be doing at your age even if some people will try and tell you that all you should be thinking of is having fun and what-not. Having fun and being young is great and all but you do need to have some kind of plan for yourself. After all, time flies and all that,” she stated.

Well, that was a bit heavy. It was time to put the mood back to a more happy tone. With this in mind, she smiled brightly,” Oh but tangents are fun. Ya never know where they might go.”

After that she picked up her trash and put it all in a neat pile before getting up and stretching for a bit herself. Though, she was slightly concerned when she felt something pop; it did help her feel more comfortable, however, so she decided to just go with it.

I know exactly how you feel. I can’t stand to be still for too long either. How about we just see where the wind takes us, eh,” she said brightly as she gathered up her things, “ How does that sound to ya?

“More seen than heard it, but yea,” Melanna replied with a small laugh.

She shuffled back and forth as the woman spoke as the urge to get going grew stronger and stronger. She didn’t want to just take off, but just standing here was getting to her. She imagined herself just taking off through the mall. She imagined her muscles burning as she worked off all those disgusting calories that she just consumed. It didn’t help the need to go at all, if anything, it made it much worse.

A large smile crossed her face at the compliment. It made her feel like she was an actual adult, and not some poor girl fumbling her way through life.

“I mean, I probably have more fun than I should, but I try to be sensible as much as possible. Not gonna lie, it’s easy to just give in and tell myself I can worry about that bill tomorrow, but I usually try and avoid that kind of stuff,” Melanna said as she folded and unfolded her hands in an effort to contain the energy that raced through her then added, “Time No need to worry now!’ I never really comprehended how fast life can go back then.”

She watched the other woman stand up and nodded in agreement at the suggestion.

“Sounds like a plan. Onwards!” Her tone was playful as she took off at a slightly brisk pace. A contented sigh fell from her lips at the feeling of her muscles moving.

PostSubject: Re: The Delight in Pastries (Ended)   The Delight in Pastries (Ended) EmptyThu Nov 28, 2013 2:14 am

The thought of walking around town with the chances of getting kidnapped seemed all too good to be true. Dain knew tha once she stepped outside that she would feel more like a loner then she would when she was standing infront of the mirror in her favorite skirt and top.  When alone and looking good Dain felt power and charm along with beauty but outside was another thing. It gave Dain a fright that she had no way to figure out.
She would get selfconcious and get ready to run to the nearest bathroom to wipe off her make up out of embarrasment. That was why she found herself taking deep breathes as she walked into the mall with palms a bit moist and eyes the seemed to roam around cauciously. She took a deep breathe as she did her best to void eye contact with other especially the male population. That was always really hard to deal with.
As her feet moved down the large hall that was crowded with people Dain kept telling herself that she was here for a purpus and that was for Acacia. Pus if she could keep herself busy with exploring and ignore everyone around her then this would work. Her shyness would not take hold of her today! Yes, deep breathes and lets keep moving.

Dain shoved her hands in pockets of her red leather jacket as her eyes glanced around for the right store. She bit the side of her lower lip as her eyes roamed about. Was this going to ake long? The thought crossed her mind a bit until she noticed a few people walking passed her with slushies and other types of yummy treats.
Her eyes perked up and her feet moved a bit faster in curiosity of what she would fiind around the corner. A few more steps and her eyes caught site of the food court. A small smile tugged a her lips as her feet moved a bit faser in exitement. Hey why not eat while Im here? Sadly as Dain was one to be shy of people she was never shy over food. She picked up her heels and moved towards the lines filled with hungry mallrats.
A few signs caught her attention but not until she spotted the pastry sign. That was when she almos dashed over ready to cut in line for something lemony and sweet. Once inside Dain moved to the line and started to glance arond for a menu. Maybe they would have comething she naver had before. SOmething that would make her melt. Would they have pumpkin this time of year?

PostSubject: Re: The Delight in Pastries (Ended)   The Delight in Pastries (Ended) EmptyWed Dec 11, 2013 1:57 am

Irene smiled at that. Yeah, she probably had seen a lot of it. If anything that lifestyle seemed to be growing in popularity instead of going down. It made her sad to see it honestly.

Oh now sweetie, I didn’t say you had to act completely like an adult yet,” Irene replied with a laugh,” And besides, nobody’s perfect. I know I used to do that at your age too. But don’t worry, you’d be surprised how much easier it gets as time goes on.”

She waited for her new friend to throw away her trash as well, ready to burn off at least some of the buzz that she had worked up from all that sugar. Toki wouldn’t be happy with her if she came home all hyped from the sugar that she wasn’t supposed to have. Toki really couldn’t handle all of that hyperness, was that even a word, at one time. The last time that she had come home all hyped up… well, let’s just say that it ended up with the kitchen a wreck, a laughing set of twins, a batter covered Tsu, and Toki always beating her in the race to cook all the family meals.

It hadn’t been that much of a wreck, honestly, and they’d needed a new stove anyway. He didn’t need to be such a worry wart about it.

Yes, lets,” she said with a smile, really enjoying her time at the mall. She usually never had so much fun. In fact, she hadn’t had this much fun at a mall since she left the States and that was a long time ago.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a young lady enter a nearby line. While normally, she might not have noticed her, her demeanor had caught her attention. Well that and the red coat helped with that she supposed. The poor thing looked like she wanted to hide in the shadows at the earliest opportunity. How sad but she had seen a similar demeanor before. Tsu used to do that when she was younger. She would constantly hide and Irene would have to pull her from behind her. She hoped the young lady would grow to be more confident someday.

She turned back to her companion and asked,” So which direction strikes your fancy, hun?”

Melanna simply laughed at the woman’s reply. Her eyes began to quickly scan the crowd out of habit; looking for someone she would recognize, but no one was spotted to her somewhat disappointment. It wasn’t like she didn’t appreciate the woman’s company, but two people still felt so lonely. Melanna wanted a group around her. That way she wouldn’t have to do so much talking; she could just people watch instead. It was much easier to people watch when you were surrounded by chattering young adults. You looked less like a creep.

She did manage to spot something that caught her eye though. A flash of red in a sea of rather dull colors. Her eyes tracked the female without meaning too as she assessed her. She looked rather uncomfortable. Mel briefly wondered if it was because of all the people, but her mind was quickly pulled back to her current companion. She smiled at the lady and ignored the urge to apologize for drifting off.

“Shall we go that way?” She asked while pointing to the right.

The Delight in Pastries (Ended) Empty

Irene nodded, “ Sounds like a plan, my dear.”

She took a moment to take in the sights and sounds of the place. The mall was so lively today with people hurrying here and there to get to their destinations. It also appeared that business had picked up since she and her new friend had started talking because there were at least twice as many people around than there had been earlier. It was moments like this that reminded her of home, as strange as that might sound to some people, but that didn’t make it any less true.

Malls appeared to be the same, no matter what country you were in. Sure, the stores were different and sold different items but the feel of the place was exactly the same as in the States. It was a vaguely comforting notion in a strange way that she couldn’t quite put her finger on. It wasn’t like she was homesick but it was nice to find little things that reminded her of home from time to time.

She was brought out of her train of thought by Melanna pointing out a direction for them to start in. It seemed like a good plan except for the fact that it would required them to go through the line of people that had gathered at the little pastry shop that the two had recently bought their food from. It was mildly annoying but it was the best path to take in the mall, so it wasn’t that big of deal she supposed. She just hoped they got through the crowd with little incident.

I can not get over how crowded it got. I guess everyone decided that today was shopping day or something, huh,” she commented absentmindedly, not really expecting an answer. She was a little more focused on finding a good way through at that moment anyway. But she didn’t see anything right off the bat. The best way through seemed to be just try and, as politely as they could, force their way through. Oh, what fun that would be.

She turned back to her new friend and said with girlish enthusiasm,” Ready to make a break for it, dear?”

Irene might as well try and have some fun with the crowd situation. Sometimes you had to make your own fun in life.

Melanna grinned as she watched the place get more and more full. It was more fun this way. There was a sort of energy that filled the air and Mel breathed it in. She let it fill and energize her as she nodded her head in response to what the other had asked. She was excited to get out of this section of the mall and go look at the different shops with the other woman.

Fate apparently decided that it didn’t agree though.

She felt her phone buzz and grabbed it out of reflex more than anything. She considered it kind of rude to text while with someone else. She blinked when she realized it was her workplace. What could they possibly want? She held up a finger to Irene and made a motion at her cell phone to show she was going to take the call. She walked to a small hallway that was quieter so she could hear.

Immediately, her boss began speaking and explaining how they wanted her to go to a branch and work. That they would pay for travel expenses and everything. Mel’s eyes widened at this offer and she quickly agreed before running back to Irene.

She explained the offer she had received and that she needed to go to work to discuss the details. She thanked her for the fun time and proceeded to leave.

Irene smiled brightly, happy for her new friend's success. She wished the young lady well and they said their goodbyes. It always brought her so much happiness to see other people happy. She hoped that Melanna's future would be bright like a star and wished the young lady well in her thoughts.

Irene quickly took stock of everything, making sure that she had everything on her list. She let out a sigh of relief when she realized she had. Oh good, she had walked around this mall enough for today and while she hadn't noticed it when she walking around with Melanna, her feet were starting to hurt.

So she gathered up her stuff and made her way home. It had been a long day and she still needed to pick up something for dinner as well.  'Time to get a move on', she supposed.
