PostSubject: Moving in Slow Motion [Open] (Temp. Lock)   Tue Aug 16, 2011 11:40 pm

Meisukya stepped down the sidewalk slowly holding onto her side bag that had the print of a panda. She checked her cell phone every now and then just to see what time it was, even if only minutes have passed. She was just getting off work and had all afternoon just for herself. Though she didn’t know what to do, where to go, didn’t know who to go see. In a small voice she spoke out loud to herself, “I could go shopping for myself for a while.. Or I could go out for lunch.. Either way.. I don’t really feel like going home and dealing with the clan members.”

She thought of the news in her clan, about the new members, the lost, the past. Before Meisukya knew it she was lost in her thoughts, thinking about how rude her foster parents had been to her. She felt the world slow down in front of her, the cars, the people, the trees in the breeze. It all seemed to move slower than normal, almost like she was in a dramatic scene in a movie.

Meisukya closed her eyes, breathing in deeply then letting out in a sigh. “Maybe someone drugged my water, that might explain this… It’s also been a busy day, so who knows, I might just be tired.” She muttered to herself, before suddenly her mind came back to reality, everything moving faster. Shaking her head, Meisukya tried to gather her thoughts.

I’ve got to watch out, or else I’m going to crash into a pole.. How embarrassing would that be! Meisukya thought to herself, as she saw a childish version of her being inside her head, walking while day-dreaming before suddenly she walked into a pole, rubbing her head, the little chibi version looked around and wondered if anyone saw. When inside of her head, a person actually saw and whispered over to someone next to them, childish Meisukya saw them whisper, blushed, then dashed all the way home, like a piggy she had head in a child book a long time ago.

Caught up in her thoughts and wonderland, Meisukya’s mind wasn’t in reality anymore. The world started to move slower and slower as she grew farther and farther away from it. Still walking she finally snapped and without knowing pulled out her red flip phone. Checking the time on it then going straight to her text messages. The thought came out of no where, “I hope my foster parents haven’t driven off the new members like always…” She proceeded away with her text to several members.

"Damn girl took forever." Masa scoffed as he began walking back to his little secret shack in the amusement park. He ate another scone and then closed the box up. His gold eye wandered around the shop windows. He wasn't looking for clothes. He was looking for traps set by the Bloodhounds. Even the slightest detection will set them all on high alert. Today he wasn't in the mood for running home with some great tasting scones in hand.

Even as he turned the corner he noticed 2 guys with ears sitting on a bench. To Masa they looked harmless just like all the disgusting couples walking around. But no sense of a trap anywhere. He didn't want to turn his ring up otherwise people would get that bad vibe from him. Right now he didn't want any attention. Looking further ahead after he past the guys on the bench he noticed a girl with pink hair. She seemed so wrapped up in herself she didn't know where she was going. Masa slowed down trying to decide if she was worth watching and analyzing or just leaving her be until a mugh more worthy opponent came his way.

Tsukiyoko couldn’t believe how late her boss had made her stay. Well, to be perfectly fair, the rest of her coworkers had had to stay just as late (even poor Miss Isako, who was going to turn 70 soon.) . But regardless, that jerk had made them all stay late, far past his usual closing time just so they could all do inventory while he went off and did…whatever the heck he did when he wasn’t bossing the crude out his employees. That evil……jerk. Yeah, note to self, get better insults.

Tsu sighed and took out her phone to check the time. Oh man, the last train would be departing soon so she had better hurry if she wanted to catch it. She really didn’t feel like walking all the way home. It had been a real busy day and she could feel her lungs complaining already from the strain. The slow aching burn was working its way around her chest cavity and crawling up her throat. Yep, she really didn’t feel like pushing it today.

So she put the light violet phone back in her pocket and continued her walk to the train station. This was so not her day. But then something weird happened. Her namesake started to twinge a little. The sensation felt something akin to someone poking you to get your attention so they could tell you something important. How odd? It had never done anything like that before.

Great! Today just kept getting better.

She contemplated what that could mean and decided to ask her mother when she got home. As, she was thinking she forgot to watch where she was going and let’s just say that’s never a good idea when you’re on a very busy city street. What happened next would the prime example of why. She knocked into someone, just who she couldn’t tell at the moment because her hair which had had been precariously perched to begin finally came loose and was blocking her vision.

Oh my goodness, I’m so very sorry. I should have been watching where I was going and ….” The rest of what she was saying quickly descended into a babbling apology while she got her long, navy blue hair out her face. She was so embarrassed and flushed brightly; she really hoped that whoever it was she had knocked over was all right.

After she got the hair out of her, she finally got a look at who it was that she knocked over. The girl was around her age, with pink hair (a rather nice shade if she did say so herself). Once again, that poking sensation just had to make itself know but she pushed it into the back of her mind for right now. She needed to focus.

She coughed to clear her throat a bit and finally managed to get a decent sentence out,” Really, I’m very sorry. Here let me help get your things.” She finished and started picking the items (which she assumed belonged to the girl, since all Tsu had was her phone and some pocket change) that had knocked about due to the fall.

Meisukya was lost in her cell phone, trying to text and dodge random people at the same time. "How do people do this?" She asked herself, obvious to everybody else that she didn't find texting and walking at the same time to be her favorite activity. Often more times than not, it just furstrated her.

Out of no where an emotion came over Meisukya. It was a strong feeling that asked for her attention. Though the most it did to Meisukya was make her feel like she was being stared at; which made her feel edgy.

In the panic, Meisukya though she was being stalked by a strange person, she instantly started to pick up speed and glanced around for anyone out of the ordinary. In the back of her mind the emotion grew before suddenly it stopped.

Meisukya found herself on the ground, wondering who or even more embarrassing, what she had ran into. Her senses came back to her and she found herself with her eyes closed. "Bad MeiMei! Bad reflexes!"

While opening her eyes, Meisukya started to pick up her things as she stared at the female she guessed she had ran into appologizing, "oh no! It was my fault! I'm so sorry!" Meisukya had been staring at the other female by accident, though the blue har had thrown her off.

"Well this is one way to meet someone new!" Meisukya laughed as she stood up to hold her hand out to the female with navy blue hair.
Though laying unnoticed and untouched is her bamboo lookig wallet in the street. While in the midst of her mind, Meisukya could feel the emotion from before boil and spiral in her mind before suddenly it settled in the back.

Meisukya glanced around at several people lingerig in the distance, she attempted not to glare at them. When she caught eye with the male behind her she presented him with a smile before turning back to the girl.

Masa had managed to finish his scone and he watched as 2 girls practically collided with each other. One just about bounced off the other and Masa had to refrain from laughing out loud even though it was rather humorous to see. They were apologizing to each other and trying to help each other out. He could feel that sense in the air which meant the 2 were part of a unit somewhere. But as of right now Masa didn't feel too much in the fighting mood so he decided to watch the girls a bit more and look for more traps to disarm. Very hard to spot but he figured that he would find them somewhere if he looked hard enough. But another thought crossed his mind. He could play nice and pawns out of them if need be for later usage. He smirked as he walked up to the 2 girls. One happened to turn around and flash her a smile and he couldn't help but make use of this moment. It would give him something to do for the time being. "You ladies okay? That was quite a fall." he said as he held his scone box in the other hand.

Meisukya saw the male walk toward the two of them, instantly she began to blush, especially after the male had reported that he'd seen everything. In a nervous vocie she replied instantly, "yeah... It didn't feel too good either."

Meisukya laughed with an awkward feeling in the pits of her stomach. She then rubbed the back of her neck, her pink hair is down through she can still feel a breeze settle upon her neck, giving her chills. Meisukya then out of the blue started to introduce herself, "I'm Meisukya. It's a pleasure to meet the both of you."

As she said this she held her hand out to the male and the female. "I'm so sorry for that embarrassing and incredibly epic fail." Meisukya appologized for the last time showing a friendly smile to the both of them.

Tsu could feel the blush on her face at the small crowd that she and the other young lady had inadvertently caused.
She took the offered hand with a bright and happy smile, however. She felt strangely comfortable with her but she wouldn’t let her guard down just because of that. That kinda stuff got you killed ya know.

Yes, yes it is,” she tried to joke but she had a feeling that it fell flat, what with her natural shyness and general hate of being in the spotlight rearing its ugly head. The strange feelings from before continued. The desire to protect, to shield, to fight, those kind of feelings rolling and swirling and utterly confusing her with their intensity; now she really wanted to figure out what was causing them. It was just one more thing to ask her mother.

She was startled out of her thoughts by a young man (at least he looked young but you could really tell these days) coming up to them and saying hello.

She blushed darkened a bit both from her own shy streak and from the embarrassment of being so lost in her thoughts that she had forgotten to pay attention to her surroundings. That wouldn’t do. Fighters had to be on the alert at all times but then again it wasn’t like she had a Sacrifice to protect yet so maybe she’d let herself slide this time.

She smiled welcomingly at him and said,” Hel-lo. Yes, I’m sure there’s a much b-better way of introducing yourself. But it can end in good things. That much I’m sure of. It’s a pleasure t-to meet you.”

She was so proud of herself. She had barely stuttered at all. Go her!

My name is Tsukiyoko Delaine but you may call me Tsu if you wish. It’s less of a mouthful,” Tsu joked,” And if it’s not too forward, may I ask what your names are?”

``````````````````````````````
I'm so sorry that this took so long. School started back last week and things got a little crazy there for a while.
Masa had taken the offered hand and chuckled as he shook their hands and smirked. "The name is Dante" He said as he always does to cover his name. Very few know of his real name and he intends to keep it like that. So far these potential little flowers had his interest of course and he was willing to study them a bit longer before he determined which side to place them on his Tree of Fate. Masa had opened his box of scones and smiled that fake grin but he kept it warm. If anything the man knew how to play his part well. Too well some would say. "Would you beautiful lades care for a scone. There is a variety of flavors in the box." he asked as he held it up for them and he took a scone for himself. He needed more time to study these two ladies for sure.
Meisukya smiled as she found out the names to both of them. “It’s a pleasure to meet the both of you.” She said as she shook their hands. Though she looked at both of them carefully, she could feel that the girl was a shy person, which to herself is adorable. Though the male seemed to bring a strange feeling to her stomach, both of them actually brought a strange feeling, a mix of good and awkward.
For now, Meisukya put that to the side, and smiled politely at the two of them, questioning the scones as she peered some into the box, she wasn’t sure if she liked them, or had tasted them before in her life. Meisukya’s memory served many purposes, but it didn’t recall tasting some foods, hearing some songs, or remembering some people. “Um, I’m not sure what a scone is, I’m afraid. Are they any good?” She wondered.
Tsu caught Meisukya’s eye as she peered into the box even more. She thought about the feeling she had just before she had crashed into the girl. It felt like a burning sensation in her heart, Such a strange emotion. Is that what it could be? Meisukya thought, though smiled as she looked up at Tsu, if this is true than she must be her sacrifice. It was either Tsu, or the male Dante, the feeling felt stronger when she looked more over towards the girl than it did at the man.
Such a strange feeling overwhelms my heart. Meisukya’s mind spoke softly, though she smiled almost on the verge of a laugh at how her mind thinks like a book or a movie. I must be some weirdo, thinking like a movie is going on. Meisukya almost laughed to herself. "Do they taste good? Does it have a lot of sugar?"
Tsu peered deeply into the box, not really sure what to do in this sort of situation. I mean, she had only just met the guy, so she wasn’t sure he wasn’t some sort of weirdo who liked to kidnap girls using spiked scones. Hey it could happen! But on the other hand, and the hand that she preferred to think on, Dante (such a strange name) could just be a nice guy who just wanted to be, ….well nice for lack of a better word.
So you could see her dilemma. Oh well, it was just a bit too public to doing any kind of kidnapping; she decided to take one. She delicately removed one from the box and thanked Dante for his offering. This entire thought process was mostly done to try and distract herself from the strange bubbling feelings. She was starting to hate them as they had only grown more intense with that handshake that the three of them had shared.
She wasn’t sure if it was the girl or Dante who had sparked the sudden increase but she had a hunch that it was the girl since they seemed to grow the longer she was in her field of vision. Her free hand twitched toward where her name was imprinted on her skin, wanting to sooth the delicate script’s aching burn. She managed to stop the motion, kind of, but she was certain that anyone in the Unit World would understand the gesture.
She turned it over in her hands to remove some the paper wrapping covering it and took a small bite. Her blue widened a bit at the marvelous taste,” This is fantastic, Dante-san. Did you make these? They’re the best I’ve ever had.” She said this with an expression of childlike wonder on her face.
Not that Tsu herself noticed.
She turned back to the young lady that seemed to be the cause of her current distress and smiled as she said,” To be perfectly honest, I’m not sure what scones are either but they remind of American biscuits. They’re really nothing like biscuits though, so I guess I don’t really make much sense then do I?” She giggled a bit at the rather lame joke, trying very hard to hide her nerves.
Masa smirked a foolish grin as the girls seem to be cheerful in their own way. So far they were a unit forming in his thoughts. One he would surely observe for a while to see their progression. "It is a pleasure to meet such fine ladies this evening." He stated as he nodded. The air around them was cool to normal people but to Masa it held confusion and yet a strange sensation that only units of this secret world would know all too well. The street light near them flickered on giving it's pale blue glow and soon all the lights were coming on. Now that the sun was setting the solar lights were kicking in. Since the day was beautiful the lights were bright this evening which made it harder for dark areas to be made. But Masa knew each fraction of light held the eyes of the bloodhounds. Thanks to the aristocrats of this secret world the light served a purpose. Something he could also blame his mother for as well.
The pink hair looked into the box as the other girl mentioned how scrumptious they were. Masa gave off a fake laugh at the 2 bubble heads not that the girls would know. "Heavens no. I can't cook for the life of me. I picked them up at a shop not too far from here. Infact head right down this street make a left and it is the second door to your left. You can't miss it looks like a cafe but has cakes and other sweets in its' front window. Decent prices for some delicacies." He said as he took one more. "Not a lot of sugar. Contains bits of dried fruit and has a fluffy yet grainy texture. Very good with tea or coffee. Whatever style seems to fit your fancy." He said with a smile.
Masa held the white box open for the pink haired girl to have one and enjoy. He knew now that his clock was ticking a bit and he only had a bit of time before the traps became active.Last place he needed to be was in an area with them in it. "Of course if you can't have sugar or something I am sure you can find something else. You don't have to try it if you don't want to." he stated as he saw he had about half a box left.
Meisukya had seen the other female pull one out and eat it after she explained what it tasted like to her. Being polite, with a smile she reached into the box and took a scone, unwrapping it before she took a small bite just in case she might not like it. Though to Meisukya's surprise she did, it had just enough sweetness to it so she declared she liked it. "It tastes delicious!" she exclaimed with a comment, "Though I think it would be nice with some coffee."
Finishing the scone Meisukya then looked up at the sky, it grew darker by the second, though he streets light up with lamp posts. "Ah, my favorite time of day!" she sighed with contentment, though she could sense the male had an uneasy feeling, it sat parallel in her mind along side the feeling Meisukya got from Tsu. It seemed to be the wrong time to investigate though.
"It is getting quite late, can I offer the two of you a ride home? I'm sure I have enough money for a cab." Misukya offered politely, trying so hard not to sound very awkward, seeing as they all had met on very strange and rather embarrassing terms.
Meisukya glanced around in her bag, digging through the cluttered mess, pushing almost everything aside to find her wallet. With panic now filling her, she tried shaking her bag to get things from the bottom to the top just to find her wallet. It wasn't a big deal, actually. Meisukya kept all of her credit cards, ID, and her social secutiry number in a zipper pocket of her bag, though the wallet itself was an expensive gift on her sixteenth birthday. "Where could my wallet have gone? I highly doubt it sprouted legs and walked away!" Meisukya paniced some more over the valuble wallet.
Tsu checked her phone quickly when Meisukya mentioned a cab and she gasped at how late it had gotten. Her family must be wondering why she was so late. Oh well, the last train had come and gone by that point so her only option was to share the cab.
It kinda made her uncomfortable though. She still wasn’t sure what in the world was up with these two but she guessed that it wouldn’t be so bad if she shared a car with them for a while. She would just take a wait and see approach.
Don’t worry about me. I’ll pay for my ride since I’d hate to be more of a bother than I already have been,” she replied sweetly. After, this it came to light that Meisukya’s wallet was missing.
Don’t worry I’m sure we’ll find it! It couldn’t have gotten too far,” she said.As Meisukya was digging around in her belongings, Tsu looked around on the ground briefly and spotted it, or at least what she thought was it, in the street.
I see. Just a moment and I’ll go get it,” And with that, she looked both ways (to check for cars and such) and saw that it was clear, for the moment anyway. She quickly darted to where it was, grabbed it and ran back. She breathed a quickly sigh of relief; one could never tell how long the roads in this town would be clear of cars. You couldn’t be too careful. Plus, that little stunt had cost her since it definitely felt the tell tale burn of coughing fit just swimming up her throat like a shark waiting to strike.
She held the bamboo-like wallet out for Meisukya to take, her breathing coming a bit too short for such a short sprint,” H-here you a-are. I h-h-hope this is it-t.” And with that, a cough forced it’s way out which she stifled with her free hand. She managed to keep it from morphing into a full fit but it still burned her throat and lungs unpleasantly.
She prayed that neither of her new acquaintances noticed it, but she doubted that it would come off as anything other than a normal cough. She hoped it would be read as that anyway.
Meisukya continued to look for her wallet, then looked up at Tsu, suddenly calming down and smiled at her. “Are you sure? If I can find my wallet I don’t mind paying for a ride.” Meisukya said and went back to finding her wallet in her panda bag, which seemed like an endless void.
Looking up, Meisukya would watch as Tsu dashed across the street to retrieve the wallet for her. She judged the size of the street then watched as Tsu easily jogged back to them. Meisukya would take her wallet, shoving it into her bag before she placed a hand upon Tsu’s shoulder to see if she was alright hearing her give a weird cough.
Are you okay? Do you need to sit down?” Meisukya felt very concerned for Tsu, not because of her good nature, but for another reason that seemed strange of her. “Please, allow me to give you a ride home as a thank you for retrieving my wallet.” Meisukya gave Tsu a bright smile.
Meisukya looked out down one side of the street and towards the other. She’d seen a single taxicab driving down the street. Taking action she took a step out into the street and called out to the cab. Drawing it in she would open the door and looked back to the two whom stood on the sidewalk. “Here we are!” She said cheerfully.
Masa was losing interest and quite fast but these 2 were people to keep in mind if anything was to spur his emotion for entertainment. It seemed as though the 2 girls were diving into their conversation as Masa looked at the sky. It was time to go and no time to waste lingering here any longer if everything became active now. But what could he do at this time of day before his main attractions came out at night to help cure his bored state? His mind came back to reality once the girl spoke of the sweet, delicious scone pastry. "It is the most divine tasting sweet in the sugar world. A drug that can be eaten with tea, coffee or my favorite hot chocolate. It is like a cake in a bitesize format and so savory. Mmm A good batch I can kill in an hour by myself." Masa exclaimed as he looked down at the box. He knew he couldn't eat any more now. This batch had to last him a week at least. And he didn't dare head back to the other estate just to gather some strips of cash he stashed away. The woman would toss a fit and try to capture him again.
Meisukya was filled with worry as her wallet went missing. After much looking around and Masa keeping a close eye on things he watched as Tsu darted across the street to retrieve the missing wallet from the street. She was a brave lass is what Mass could gather and the other freaks if she losses things easily. Before long a taxi came and Masa just smiled since he figured he had gathered enough knowledge for today. As the taxi pulled over and stopped Masa opened the door for both ladies. "Alright you ladies have a good night." He said as he held it open for them.
Tsu smiled weakly at the other girl and shook her head, " No, I'm fine. Really there's no need to be concerned."
But even as she said this, she could feel the tell-tale burn of a fit in her throat; she making her pine for her cough medication. However, it was important to be polite, not to mention those odd feelings were throwing her "being nice" sense into overdrive.
Which is why, even though she wanted to say no to the offered ride, she found herself nodding yes anyway. She smiled in grateful thanks when Meisukya managed to get a cab and the young man opened the door for the both of them.
" Are you sure that you're going to be all right on your way home?" Tsu asked, having an idea that he wasn't going to be coming with them in the cab. She may not know very well, but she still wanted to make sure that he would safe on his way home. The city could be very dangerous at night and she would hate for something to happen to him.
(I'm so sorry that this is so late and so short. I'm still a little "under the weather" but I wanted to get this posted up so the thread could move. Still I'm sorry)
Masa waited for a bit as he was practically leaning against the door of the cab. He really didn't notice until he felt himself slide a bit. He straightened up rather quickly as the 2 girls conversed among each other. Of course this was only serving to bore the man to death as he fought back a yawn and removed his hand from the door. When one of the girls addressed him he just smiled and shook his hand as if waving away a fly. "No worries. My home is right down the street. Now you ladies head on home. I need to leave anyways. Ciao!" Masa stated as he began making his way to the park. He managed to pull out another scone and smirked as he vacuumed it up from his fingers.
