| Haru was thrilled that the wait wouldn’t be too long. She had honestly expected the entire process to take a while since those decorations looked time consuming. But it wasn’t like she was expert on baking/decoration time management or anything of that sort. So really what did she know about it? She was brought out of these thoughts when she noticed Kyo come over and take the seat across the table from her. Huh, she hadn’t actually expected to sit there. She had just made the offer to be polite, especially since they hadn’t gotten off on the best foot as far as introductions where concerned. Though the next few words out of his mouth did wonders to restore good will all things considered. An apology was all she had been after in the first place.
Haru smiled ruefully at his admission,” Yeah I could kinda tell.” She laughed quietly and continued,” But practice makes perfect, you know. Or at least that’s what I’m told.”
She took another bite of her candy cane as she idly glanced around the room. It was almost gone which was a shame. It had been very tasty.
“But I appreciate the apology though. That’s always a good start when you mess up. Call it a friendly tip,” she stated before taking the last bite of the candy. She wondered briefly if she should get a napkin for her fingers but she was more tempted to just lick them clean. No matter how childish that might seem to others. In the end she just decided it wasn’t worth it. Especially if it did get out who she was and someone took a picture or something. Her parents would freak and if they got Grandma involved…she shivered at the thought. She shook her head a little to clear the image out of her mind and wiped her hands after grabbing a napkin from the dispenser that was in the middle of the table. That was definitely something that she didn’t need to think about right now.
“Anyway, what brings you here to the bakery? If you don’t mind my asking that is,” she replied,” You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to. The great candy would be reason enough in my book.”

| Kyo watched as Masanori continued working in a swift manner. His tail was in his lap now as he smiled a little bit. "I think it makes it better. But Ma said it is best to learn along the way." he said as he turned to her and smiled. He turned back to Masanori even though he was a distance away. "I actually wanted something sweet. Had a burger earlier took a nap then wanted something sweet. I am new around here still. But even for 3 weeks of set up I know very few places." He said as he looked over at Haru and tilted his head a bit showing his eye patch. "Well what brings you here actually?" He asked curiously. | |

| Haru nodded along in the appropriate places as he talked. She couldn’t help but smile when he mentioned his mother’s advice. It sounded like something she had heard Tilly’s mother say a few times when they were backstage. Her own would have never told her such a thing. She was to be prepared at all times since you never knew who could be watching you; that’s the kind of advice her mother gave. After all, she needs to put forth a dignified image and make sure she doesn’t embarrass the family. She’d had a few too many close calls already as far as they were concerned. But she supposed that was the difference in their families. Her own barely felt like a family at all these days. She hoped he had ended up better off in that regard than she had.
Then he asked her what she was doing the bakery. Huh, oh, oh good, now she needed to answer as calmly and smoothly as possible so as to not make him suspicious. Plus, she couldn’t let him know who she was. Should be easy right? Yeah, too bad she wasn’t all that good at lying. It was really a shame that she was because it was a handy skill to have when one was from an aristocrat household.
“ Oh, I just came to get a nice surprise for my ba-, friends from school. We just finished a really tough project from one of our classes and I wanted to get them something nice to reward their hard work, ya know,” she hastily corrected her mistake and cursed her carelessness for making it in the first place. Maybe she’d be lucky and he wouldn’t notice. He honestly didn’t seem to be the observant conversational partner so the odds were in her favor at the moment. At least, she hoped they were.

| Kyo smiled at her and wagged his tail happily. "That is really sweet of you actually. I am sure your friends will be very happy to get such tasty treats from you." He said as he looked over back at the tray. "I should be starting school up even though I will be late." He said looking back at her. "What school do you go to and what grade are you in if you don't mind me asking?" He said looking much like a very interested puppy. | |

| Haru couldn’t help but blush a little when he said the gesture was sweet. It quickly faded but she hoped he didn’t catch it. It would be kind of embarrassing if he had.
“You think so? I mean I just wanted to do something nice for them since they’re my friends and all. Though, ah, thanks for saying that. I just hope they do like it, if not this will be a little embarrassing. Plus, I’ll be stuck with all those cupcakes,” she replied, still just a touch embarrassed but she managed to hide it well. Well, she hoped she did anyway.
She groaned internally when he mentioned school. School was ok she supposed but she guessed that it was probably better when one didn’t have to have classes while on tour. It took forever to get anywhere, mostly because of all the other demands that such a rigorous schedule put on your time. It was heck trying to write a paper while memorizing lyrics for the new song that you were adding to your tour. Yeah, it was probably slightly better in a building, though probably not by much.
“Uh, I’m homeschooled actually,” she replied. That answer sounded safe enough and it was true. Mostly. “My parents are a little on the over protective side if you get me. They were worried about the school system and weren’t sure it was best to send me there, so they just decided to teach me themselves.”
Well, hire tutors they approved of to do the job for them but it was close enough to the truth.

| Kyo didn't know why but a smile just crept across his face as his tail wagged a little in his lap. "Well if I didn't think so I wouldn't have said it." he commented as he turned to look at her. She seemed a bit shy which made him chuckle a bit. "Such an odd thing to think of it as embarrassing. Too much sweets is bad for you I suppose. I tend not to eat them too often since it messes up my stomach. Love them though!" He said as he licked his lips a bit.
"Alright your order is done sir but I warn you it is hot." Masanori stated as Kyo smiled. "I will let it cool off as I wait with her if you don't mind." He said as Masanori replied, "No problem." Kyo turned to her and looked a bit surprised. "Home schooled? They allow you to stay home and be trained?" He was a bit new to the whole home school term but he in a sense was partially home schooled until he could attend school in the neighboring cities. Kyo closed his eye and had a serious look on his face as he thought about his own upbringing. "Hm If I can recall I was taught at home up to a certain age. From there I had to travel with the other kids to the neighboring cities for schooling. To me the system isn't bad but teachers are very strict though. I can't even tell you how many pails of rice or water I had to hold for being hard headed in class." He pouted a bit but laughed it off as his tail wagged and hi ears went back.

| She blushed again when he mentioned her earlier embarrassment. Great so he caught it after all. Maybe he was more observant than she had given him credit for … or he just got lucky. Yeah, given what she had seen earlier, she guessed that the second option was more likely. She giggled though when he mentioned the stomach ate he got from eating too many sweets. How childish of him. But hey, there were worse childish habits to have so it wasn’t like it was that big of deal.
“Oh I know the feeling. I still eat too many sweets sometimes too,” she replied with a sheepish smile,” They’re just so tasty you can’t help yourself.”
She was surprised when he said that he wanted to wait with her rather than just getting his order and leaving. Strange. Didn’t people usually do that or was she getting that wrong? It wasn’t like she had a whole bunch of experience with this sort of thing. Eh, who knew? Maybe he was just having fun chatting and wanted to keep it up for a bit longer. Yeah, that was probably all it was. While it might seem strange to some that she was focusing on all the quirks and oddities of her companion’s behavior, it was an invaluable survival tool when one was part of an aristocratic house. Behavior was key to learning just what others had planned and whether or not they involved you and some foul fate. She shivered lightly at the thought and quickly put that train of thought out her mind. There was no need to dwell on such unpleasant things after all.
Though, uh, that bit about training was strange. Just what did he mean by that? Had she accidently let her Ring fly loose and free again? Was he in a unit and able to pick on that sort of thing? Ugh, that thing was such a pain to get under control. Why did she even have to anyway? Who even cared since it wasn’t like normal people could really hear it anyway. Regardless, his school system sounded a little weird. Didn’t most people stay in one school for their lessons? Eh, maybe it was done a little differently in the country.
She couldn’t help but laugh when she heard him mention the water pails,” Oh so who were a back talker, huh? Or just wouldn’t do what the teacher said?” she teased good-naturedly.

| Kyo thought about it and chuckled a bit. "I have to admit I just wouldn't listen. I remember one time the teacher asked me a math question and I was determined she was giving me the wrong answer. Of course I was a kid like 5 or 6 and I was determined to get them to understand 1+1=3. My logic at the time was 2 people who love each other no matter if they want it to happen or not always have at least one kid." He laughed wagging his tail.
"But on a serious note I was just bad. Ma said it is a boy thing. We are just bad and want to play all the time." He said as his tail wagged and he looked at her. But the smile faded a bit as his ears went back. "I do admit I have to go back to school. I never got a chance to finish school so..." he said as an embarrassment so he turned away.

| She smiled,” Yeah I kinda figured it was something like that.”
Haru was suddenly reminded of her cousin at his words and while it made her a little sad to think of him, it also made her happy. She missed him, both of them, but it was good to reminded of the good times. After all, back then, she could’ve always counted on Takumi being a hard head and making Emiko chase after him to make sure he didn’t hurt himself. She doubted that had changed even though years had passed since then but you never knew really. People changed all the time after all, whether for the better or worse.
“Boys tend to be hard headed I’ve noticed. Heck, you should’ve gotten a load of my cousin back when he was younger. He was always off on some,” she waved her had flippantly,” adventures, though most people probably wouldn’t call them that I’m sure.”
Her smile changed to a more subdued and understanding one after he mentioned that he hadn’t had the chance to finish his education. Poor guy. It must've really taken a lot for him to admit such a thing but good for him for having the courage to do so and with a stranger no less.
“Hey, once you’re done with whatever your “mission”? You called it a mission right?” she asked kindly, for once,” Well, whenever you’re done with that you can go back and finish if you want. As far as I know there’s no one telling you no, right? So go for it.”
She wasn’t sure why she was being so nice to this guy but she was in a good mood today so maybe she was passing the good feelings on and making the world brighter. Or something stupid like that. Emiko or one of her bandmates might have had a better name for it cause she certainly couldn’t be bother to try and find it herself.

| Their conversation passed a lot of time and soo Masanori was calling them both to come and get their food. "Have a good day!" The employees said as Kyo picked up his food and smiled. "Thank you so much for the conversation. I will take into consideration about going back to school and bettering myself." he said as he looked to the ground and smiled at her eventually once he looked up. "Maybe I will see you around or something? I am new to this area but I am sure you will see me walking around aimlessly." he said with a sheepish grin. | |

| When all was said and done, Haru could admit that talking to Kyo had actually ended up sort of … fun. Though her security team probably would’ve blown a gasket at the fact that she was talking to a complete stranger unprotected, but they weren’t here now were they? Nope. They weren’t so she could do as she pleased thank you very much.
The time had certainly passed quickly enough and before she knew it, she was being called over to collect her order. They looked perfect, all cute and delicious in their box, and she couldn’t wait to give them to the girls. She was sure they’d love them. She thanked the staff and paid what she owed. With that done and on her way out of the door, Haru prepared to say goodbye to her new acquaintance.
She smiled and replied,” That’s good. I’m hoping you’ll go back.”
She couldn't help but giggle when he mentioned the aimless wandering. This guy, man.
“Yeah, maybe I’ll see you around. Who knows, we may bump into each other again sometime. And with that in mind, goodbye for now,” she said cheerily, even managing a little wave since she had a good grip on the cupcake box.
Soon she was out of the door and headed home.

| Kyo watched her leave and waved as he heald his treat. He walked out the door and took a deep breath of air. "I feel like walking now." He said as he looked at his treat and smiled a bit. Kyo looked left then looked right and decided a walk would be nice. He needed to familiarize himself with the area. "Let me just walk and see where I end up." he said as he began walking away.
