To the end of the world (Down a dark alley.) [Private](Temporarily Locked)

People were passing him. Disgusting people, with one thing on their minds. Pain. Oh, how they loved to hurt others. They chatted on cell phones or carried shopping bags across the street or searched their purses for their money or their car keys. But Kalvin knew the truth. They laughed and joked around, but he knew what was always lurking in the back of their minds.

She had made sure he knew that very well.

Shuddering, he went into a flashback, gripping the cold metal in his hand tightly against his chest as his gaunt eyes fluttered closed. First he heard her voice. Different than any other time she'd started in on them. Softer, almost... calm. Hillary had broken a dish. That woman was being calm. He knew they were doomed the moment the ceramic shattered against cheap linoleum.

"Hillary, are you okay?"

His mind revealed her form, stumbling in from her bedroom. Hillarys beautiful eyes, widened in terror, turned to him, pleading for help.

Then she snapped.

Kal had been putting silverware away, a spoon poised in his hand as he tried to fathom what was happening around him. She had entered the room next to him, how did she end up over there so quickly? why was his silverware in disarray on the counter, when it had just been in neat piles for him to put away?

Why was Hillary bleeding, a broken form of her body on the floor? His princess, his sister. The one he had to protect at all costs. Why was there red running down the side of her lips? Her eyes found his once more, and through the grimace of pain, her lips turned upward. There was no fear present. She was in all her proper glory at that moment, a bloodstained angel, only eleven years old.

It clicked what their own mother had done to her. Then the flashback ended.

Tears rolled down his cheeks as Kals eyes flew back open, searching for that demon, her knife gleaming from its first kill and poised for its next. Choking and sobbing for the sister who never deserved her fate, he realized it wasn't real. Just his memory playing tricks on him again. Night terrors, day terrors, they were terrors all the same. Extremely pale eyes flicked back to the mouth of the alleyway he stood in, watery vision blurring the forms of passersby. Wouldn't this make her happy? The daughter she never wanted gone, and the son she replaced her lover with leaving as well. Too damn bad she wasn't there to see it...

He was nervous. Ending a life was a hard task to do, so it seemed. But as his vision cleared and the anger dissipated, leaving only the deepest fear he had ever felt, Kal knew it was a necessary task. He couldn't live in fear anymore. He couldn't run away when people smiled at him or lifted a hand to wave. She had broken him too badly to be fixable. It would take a miracle to keep him alive now.

Inhaling shakily, he looked down at the dark metal of the gun, so unfamiliar in his hands. Black market. It was really a life saver. Or, in this case, perhaps a life taker. He chuckled humorlessly at the thought, eyes skimming the cold material. Make sure the safety was off. He had read about guns for this exact purpose. Kal loved books, despite having never been to school... He wondered if he would miss reading. He knew he'd miss fruit. And Minata-sensei, the older woman who had literally saved him. Would she be disappointed? Would she even find out? Maybe she'd think he had run away to start a new life. It would be better for her heart if she didn't know. Closing his eyes, he curled his fingers around the grip, one sliding up against the trigger easily. His hands shook, hell, his entire body shook. It was the end, and no one would know who he was, what he could've been under different circumstances. Even in death he wouldn't bother anyone. A gun was quick, effortless, one fast little gunshot and he'd be out of the way. Lifting the reapers scythe, he sucked in air when the cold barrel met his temple. 'Do it now,' he thought hurriedly, 'or you'll never go through with it.'

Kalvin tightened his finger on the trigger, and-

With a stretch Tohu stood up from his chair. School had finally finished for the day and he sighed a little at the thought of the things he had to do today. His mother wanted him to go pick some things up in town. Then come back home do some home work then off to tennis practice. Sitting down outside his locker he changed his shoes, grabbed his back pack and headed off.
On the way out he saw some of his his team mates who called out to him at the front gates. "Hey Nakite. See you at practice tonight!" At this he turned and smiled at the voice. "Yeah of course i wouldnt miss it for the world!" He yelled back happily, turning he gave a parting wave and left.

Heading off he started to make his way to the shops that his mother had asked him to go to. Making his way down a short cut of his he stopped suddenly as some thing caught his attention.

It was a pull.

It was like a switch had been flicked and an internal magnet has started going crazy or some thing.

Following the pull a small smile crept onto his face.
This was the moment. The moment he had been waiting his whole life for. The moment he was born for. And he was so excited.

His feet seemed to have a mind of their own as they followed the pull to it source. They took his down one way then another and after a while he thought that it might have been a false alarm or some thing. But as he turned that final corner he felt his whole body jerk.

Then the pit of his stomach dropped.
He had seen the gun and the person he was newly attached too holding it too their, his temple.

NO! This couldnt be happening! This was the person he was born for, to protect and here they were about to blow their brains out before he even got a chance to proove himself! He couldnt let his sacrifice go ahead with this! Not while he was alive to be able to stop it!

"Wait! Please dont do that." He cried out hoping that the finger had not yet squeezed hard enough.

Just as Kal thought he could hear Hillarys sweet voice telling him it would be okay, fingers tightening on the stressed trigger, a loud, shocked voice met his ears.

It asked him to wait. To please not do it.

For some reason, Kal put the gun down. He dropped it slowly from his temple, fingers just as tight on the trigger as they had been when it was to his head. An unbelievably shaky breath left his lips as the palest of blue eyes opened, first seeing the brick wall that made the other part of the alley he sat in, then moving to the right to rest upon a young man watching him. This person must have been the source of the voice... Why had he listened? He should've known that this person asked him to spare himself only so he could do the job himself. People lived only to hurt other people. It was a fact he knew too well.

laughing dryly, a hollow sound that barely escaped his throat, he allowed his eyes to fall shut once more. "Go away." he whispered hoarsely. "You just couldn't let me have peace, could you?" The gun remained in his hand, but the grip was slack, his entire body had seemed to go slack where he sat, leaning against a brick wall. So close to freedom, yet always so far away.

Those eyes. Those beautiful pale blue eyes. He wished he could never stop staring at those eyes. But he did. Looking down at his feet he shifted uncomfortably from one foot to the other. "But i dont want to leave. I dont want you to hurt your self. Cause if you die..... A little, well a large piece of me dies too. And then following the rules of my world i would have to die too." He said his voice cracking a little as he forced the words out. He didnt want to die. Nor did he wish for this beautiful creature to die either. It would be a crying shame. And cry Tohu certainly would.

Looking up from his feet he watched the other with cautious eyes, as the other leaned against the wall. He eyed the sleek black gun in the others hands. It didnt belong there. Not in those slender beautiful hands. Could he snatch it out? Could he take it away so his sacrifice couldn't harm himself? He stated thinking wildly of things he could do to remove the gun from the others hands. He was becomeing selfish, he wanted so desperatly to get to know his sacrifice that he was willing to do any thing to stop the others death wish. He wanted this man to be alive! Not dead as the other wanted.

With a sigh escaping from his lips, his eyes fell to the ground again. He would have to think of some thing, any thing to peek the others interest so he wouldn't kill himself. Then an idea came to him.

His eyes flicked back open to stare at the stranger oddly. This young man was crazy, there was no other explanation. Spouting things off like he would die if Kal did, what kind of freak would say something like that? He didn't even know him!

Still, an odd feeling told him the guy wasn't lying, and it urged him to ask for an explanation.

But he wouldn't. He had a plan, and he wanted to go through with it. The people walking by on the street outside, not noticing the two there, they spurred him on. Kals hand tighened on the gun again, but when he lifted it this time, he only rested his elbows on his knees, holding the gun so he could inspect it. If he had one of these when he was younger... well, maybe he'd still have a sister. Maybe they'd be happy. Such smooth metal, warming slowly from the body heat leaking into it from his hands. He rubbed his thumb over part of the barrel as though there were a genie in his lamp-of-fate, just waiting to grant him whatever wish he wanted.

He had almost forgotten the other boy was there at all. Odd, considering he was always hyper-aware of people near him. But an odd humming noise brought him back to the present. He wondered silently what it was, and why on Earth it seemed to be coming from him as well as the other. Weird. He focused on that, not bothering to give the stranger a reply.

His eyes lifted to stare at the other while the idea formed in his mind. He watched as the other stared at the gun for a while. Tohu's heart was going a million miles an hour and seemed as if it would explode at any second now.

"Can i show you some thing?" Tohu asked in a slow clear voice. He was going to show the other his true name. The name he knew he shared with this person who was threatening to end his life before Tohu even had a chance to get to know him.

Before waiting for the sacrifices answer he started to slowly turn around so his back was now facing the other. Pulling at the hem of his top he pulled it up to his shoulders exposing the name that ran the entire length of his spine. There is was for the other to see, the true name. Their true name. Tainted.

He didnt even know if the other was looking as his eyes had fallen to the ground again. But he spoke any way in his soft voice. "You have this too dont you?" He really hoped that the others name had appeared, but some how he had a gut feeling that it had. He reasoned that if he, Tohu had his then his sacrifice should by all means have his then.

Sneeking a peek under his arm he looked to see if the other was looking or not.

He recognized the humming before the other spoke. It was similar to the one the lady he worked for, Minata's, own sound. He'd asked her once what it was, but all she did was smile and tell him to wait for a better time. He'd never noticed it coming from himself as well, though. Weird.

The stranger spoke to him, but he didn't raise his eyes from the gun until he noticed in his peripheral vision the other lifting his shirt up slowly. He turned as skin began to show; what was he doing, stripping? Would he dart out in public? What a mad man-

Then the D hit him.

The same delicate script as the one on his back. Same spot. His own weird mark felt weird, like it was reacting to the other as he pulled his shirt up more.

E came next, at the middle of the redhead's spine. Kal's eyes widened, his stomach twisting almost painfully as his palms broke a sweat. He leaned toward the other slightly, watching him extremely closely. What was this sick dream? Had he actually died? If he could've broken his stare from the slightly tanned skin revealing itself, he would've looked at the gun in his grip in disbelief. He didn't remember pulling a trigger...

As the rest of the word was revealed, the strangers shirt bunching up just around his shoulders, Kal's breath left him in a sileny whoosh. There, the perfect mirror to his ever unexplained marking, was the word "Tainted,"verticle down the strangers back.

Kal lost the ability to form sentences as he stared wide-eyed at the word. He sat still for a moment, taking in the mark, which he could only think to call a tattoo, until the owner of the mark spoke softly.

The gun fell with a metallic clacking noise as Kal snapped his gaze up to the back of the other's head. "How did you get that?" he asked breathlessly. He had never, not once, told someone else about the word appearing on his skin. Not that he had anyone to tell besides Minata. But he hadn't even told her. It had only appeared recently, startling Kal so badly he lost sleep for three nights in a row, and the fourth was nothing but nightmares of his past. Tainted. It was so... horrible. Like his own body knew how evil he was and decided to retaliate. The fifth night after it appeared, he dreamt that his mother had cursed him from beyond the grave. He'd believed that dream since; it was her final warning to remind him that though she burned in Hell, he would join her as soon as his life was over.

Which it should've been that day.

But now he didn't know what to believe. This perfect stranger had the same mark! But he was completely unrelated to his mother or himself, wasn't he? What had she done, every time she went outside the house? Found another man to call husband? Raised another child, and made him just as miserable?? Was there someone else who could possibly know what he'd know what he'd done?

Kal really didn't know what to say, or do, or how to react. He was so shocked. That couldn't be true.

Looking under his arm Tohu watched the other in silence, his sacrifice was wide eyed and looked thoughly shocked, like he had just been slapped in the face. Slowly letting go on his top he let the bunched fabric fall back down to sit normally on his body again.
Turning around Tohu slowly took a step towards the other and took a deep breath. "You maay not understand what im saying now but, well.... I am your fighter. We share the same name.... I...Im here to protct you.". His voice came out soft and soothing, in the hope that he could get close enough to be able to kick the gun away, out of his sacrifices reach.

One more step.

He was so close that if he made a sudden movement he could get the gun away. Eyes flickered quickly from his other to the weapon on the ground and he made his move.
His leg darted out, with no warning and kicked the gun away. Without waiting for any reaction from his other he watched the metal thing skid across the alley. Good. For now his sacrifices like was not in immediate danger.

Kneeling down infront of his sacrifice, he looked at him. "Please dont do that again. I dont know what i woul do if you died and i hadn't been able to get to know you... Or even stop you." He whispered, trying to fight the urge to wrap his arms around his other.

Kal watched in shocked silence as the guy turned back to him, letting the shirt fall, and said something. What had he said? It was all so fuzzy. Everything was fuzzy, and spinning slightly. Kal didn't know what to do. He saw the stranger getting closer, taking small steps, but he didn't flinch back as he normally would have. He was trying to wade through his mind in order to hear what the other had said. He knew it was there somewhere...

A foot came out of nowhere, flying toward him, and Kal shrank back, thinking it was meant to his side. But it never made contact. Instead, he heard a skidding noise, and his gun hit the end of the alleyway. "No!" he cried out, reaching for the gun, reaching for his one weapon that could ensure safety in some form, no matter what. But his fingers faltered. Everything was clear as glass now. A fighter. A protector. Bullshit. His hand fell back to his side as he looked up at the redhead. He was angry, and hurt that the other would lie so cruelly. He didn't even know this person, why would they say something like that?!

"Then where were you?" he asked viciously, voice nothing but an angry whisper. "If you're here to protect me, then where were you? When I needed protection most, when I watched my sister be killed by our MOTHER, WHERE WERE YOU?!" His voice had steadily risen until he was yelling at the stranger. He was sick of being hurt and lied to, and now, even by someone he didn't know? He couldn't handle this. Tears streaked down his face. Angry, fat things that he didn't even try to wipe away. If this person wasn't lying, surely he had an answer? Shouldn't he have shown up in the last moment possible and saved them all? That's how it always was in books... So where was his superhero? The one that was supposed to rescue Hil and himself? This kid surely wasn't it... They had been alone, as always. No one was going to come save them; then or now.

That voice resonated around his ears, making him cringe, withdrawing back slightly as the other whispered angrily at him.
He was right. He was meant to protect and from the sounds of it he had already failed, and miserably at that.
As the voice rose higher and higher, Tohu felt his knees buckle under him and he fell to his knee's. Hanging his head he looked at the ground, his eyes closing slightly. He was ashamed of himself. He didnt save his sacrifice.

"Im sorry.... I really am. You have no idea how hard i have been looking for you. Always hoping that nothing had hurt you. But some thing has and i wasnt there to protect you. He whispered his voice shaking slightly from the images running through his head.

His imagination was running wild now with all the possibilites of how the man... HIS sacrifice could have been hurt. And with each and every scenario that took place in his head he cringed inwardly.

"I wanted to be there... I really did. But i just coulnt find you...l Until now." He said looking up. He really hoped that his sacrifice would realise this point. Yes it had taken a while but he had come. And he had stopped his sacrifice from blowin his brains out.

Kal watched angrily as the stranger sank to his knees beside him. The apology was fake, the look in the kid's eyes that said "I'm telling the truth."... It was an act. Kal had to admit to himself for one split second that that woman had taught him something valuable. He knew peoples' motives. Selfishness. An evil inside of them that yearned to bring the weaker man down. And they would use any means to achieve their goal. Still, a large and oddly adamant part of him wanted to believe the guy. It wanted to believe that this stranger had been searching for a long while, never in the right place at the right time.

Without speaking, Kal turned his head away to glance longingly at his gun again. I can't believe you." he admitted softly, eyes narrow and still fighting back the tears longing to fall. "I know the books. If you wanted to save me, you would've found me in time. There's a reason this... name, or whatever, is Tainted. I don't know why you have it, but I know why I do." he fell silent again. Why was he talking to this teen? What did he owe the redhead next to him?

His hands tightened into fists on his knees as he dropped his face. "Even if I wanted to believe you, I couldn't. It just doesn't make sense." he shook his head slightly. "Where were you if you couldn't find me? I was at one place the entire time. My entire life, I didn't leave that house. So why couldn't you find me?"

The first sentance was like a knife in his heart. 'I can't believe you.' Tohu had to admit that really hurt. Why did his sacrifice think he was lying to him? Tohu knew he was telling the truth!

Sighing, Tohu looked up at the other who's delicate face was turned away form him. "Books? Life is nothing like the books! Galiant princes dont always come along to save the day. In life things can go wrong, and not the way we want them to. I know. Ive been serching for my sacrifice for as long as i could remember. But now ive found you and you near hate me on sight. And as for not being able to find you....The ring..... The ring that connects us. Ive had mine for a while but maybe yours took time to come out. Or maybe its fate. Maybe there was some thing larger at work. Some thing bigger than us that only let us to meet now, just as you were about to take your life and rip yourself away from me before i have even gotten to know you." He couldnt stop, now that he had begun talking he couldnt stop. He wante to let his sacrifice. The one infront of him that he was here now. That he wanted to so very deseratly to protect him from the many evils of this world.

But apparently he had already failed.

Closing his eyes he took in a deep breath and re opened them, wishing that his sacrifice would believe him. That some thing would click, that he would accept that Tohu had done all he could with what he had, which considering wasnt very much. But he had still tried so hard to find his other half. And when he did. His other half was about to blow his brains out. And Tohu couldnt have that. It would hurt too much.

"How am I supposed to know?!" he cried out before he could stop himself. Angry pale blue eyes lifted to the other's face, even if they weren't so much angry as hurt. "I've never KNOWN life! I've never HAD ONE! I didn't leave the house I was born in until she was DEAD. They were both dead before I could figure out what life was. And 'life', the world was a terrible place when I finally found it! I always thought she was wrong but she was RIGHT! The years of-of beating, of rape, of not having enough food to keep me even conscious! That stuff doesn't CHANGE once you find out what 'life' is!" at some point of his ranting, Kal had moved boldly, grabbing the stranger's shoulders and staring him dead in the face. "And then a stranger comes along with the same thing on his back as mine and says everything is okay, and I want to believe him. I feel like everything is going to be okay. But from experience, I know it isn't."

He kept the contact for a second longer before his hands fell back into his lap, gaze falling back downward as well to stare at his fingers. "I don't want to die." he admit softly, unsure now which one of them he was even talking to. "But I don't know what else to do. Fate doesn't exist." slowly, he looked back into the other's lavender eyes. "Fate, redemption, love. They're just things we believe in so we don't feel as empty at the end of the day."

Tohu was shouted at, hell near screamed at, and all the while every word that was spat from his sacrifice only ripped and tore at his heart. He felt so guilty. He should have been there. "Please... If you have never had a life... Let me help you have one. Show you that there is some thing better than what you have been through. That there is a light at the end of your very dark tunnel. I... i just want to help. I want to make you feel safe and loved and every thing else you deserve." He said this quietly, in a soothing voice.

"Please.... Just... Dont die on me....... I need you as much as you need me." His voice trembled a little as he looked down, eyes looking at his hands and then his sacrifices and up again into those lovely blue eyes.

Tohu desperately wanted his sacrifice to see it from his view, to see that all Tohu had ever wanted was to find his sacrifice. To look and care for his other. To protect his other. Some thing that was obvious he had failed at from the first. But he wanted his other to see that he would do anything to give him the life his sacrifice needed.

Closing his eyes, he took a breath in and held it before expelling it slowly. Opening his eyes little by little he looked up and reached out to slowly but cautiously take light hold of the others fingers and gave it a small gentle squeeze, before letting go.

Putting his hand back in his lap he looked down, his hands were trembling. With fear? With anticipation? Tohu didnt know but thought it was probably a bit of both. Cause he knew deep down that if he couldn't talk his sacrifice to accepting him and living. Tohu might never see those beautiful light blue eyes again.

He didn't know why, but the other's words hit him strongly. He wanted to help him. He wanted to show him a life he hadn't been able to see. And maybe it was just the odd high having a gun to his head had given him, but Kal believed him. As he looked into light purple eyes, he could see the truth in them. This kid wasn't perfect, but neither was he. And here he was, writing him off, screaming at him for something he couldn't help.

"Okay."

He didn't understand it himself when the word left his lips, but Kal reached out slowly, taking the redhead's hand in his own again and letting his eyes fall closed. As he touched the other, he felt oddly complete. A warmth flooded through him, sweeping away the need for the gun; sweeping away everything but a nervous acceptance that this person would be in his life from now on.

"I believe you. I won't do anything like this again. I... I want to give you a chance." To change me... The thought was hopeful, but also made him feel slightly sick. Did this mean he would have to be near people? Other than this one, he wasn't exactly sure he could handle being around them. It was why he worked in the kitchen at home and didn't really ever come into contact with the guests. But his fingers squeezed the opposite ones and he took a deep breath. Opening his eyes back into lavender, Kal tilted the corners of his lips upward in a very weak smile. He didn't trust the other person, but he'd learn to. He already had one person he could rely on, Minata-sensei, and one more could only help.

Something must have gotten through to his sacrifice, something that made the screaming stop. The other sounded almost calm. What surprised Tohu even more was the touch, the feeling of fingers, warm fingers touched his. Tohu soothingly ran his thumb over the others index finger, just rubbing gently. As if saying it was all ok.

While they were linked through their hands a feeling, one that he just knew his sacrifice was getting, the completeness. And as if to confirm it all the thin piano like strings that bound them together glowed slightly. Tohu caught it out of the corner of his eye. The sight of it made him smile.

Looking back at his sacrifice he saw the smile. "Thank you." He said softly, and then remembering some thing, he looked a little shocked. "Im so sorry! Ive been terribly rude! I haven't even told you my name!" He guessed that he had, correction, both had been to worried and scared about the current time and what had just happened to worry about the formalities of introductions and names.

"My name is Tohu Nakite." He said bowing his head down to his knee's.

Kal took a shaky breath, still watching the redhead, not sure if he was ready was for this. No; he knew he wasn't ready for this. But he was jumping in anyway. "...Kalvin Pennington." He didn't give his real first name. That name was long gone. Tohu wouldn't need to even know it. The feeling of the other's finger rubbing over his own sent little jolts down his spine. It was such a new feeling, one he wasn't sure he wanted to feel... But he couldn't say it was unpleasant. Just... unfamiliar.

Something red and shimmering caught his eye for an instant, and he flicked pale blue over to it. That string... "What is this?" he asked quietly, twirling it around a finger, watching it shine and thrum quietly, a loud ringing sound emitting from both himself and Tohu. The same ringing he'd heard from Minata, but somehow different. "What is all of this? What does it all mean? You said you're here to protect me, but how?" This probably wasn't the place to be talking about it, but he couldn't stop the questions. "I've always had this... little string, but... it led away from the house, into the public... I didn't know where it ended or what it was..." his words were spoken so quietly, more to himself than the redhead opposite him.

"Should we go somewhere... else to talk about this?" he asked, shifting slightly. It was uncomfortable, and he wanted to be safe, away from the public. Away from the people shooting them odd glances as they walked by. Were they going to attack the two? His hands shook slightly as his gaze landed on a woman's brown eyes. "...Let's go somewhere else."

Sitting up again, Tohu's eyes followed the fingers playing with their string. "Its how i know, how we know that we are connected..... It binds us together. Some times it takes a while to see where it really ends." He said quietly.

Letting go of the warm hand of his sacrifice, Tohu stood up and offered it again to Kalvin. "Ok, we can go any where you like. I don't mind." Tohu smiled a little to himself, he had wanted to put on the end of that sentence 'I would follow you to the ends of the earth if you wanted me to.' But he didn't. He just held his hand down.

They needed to go some where that his sacrifice would feel comfortable talking. Tohu had a few places in mind but wouldn't say any thing until Kalvin had. From the way the other had acted before, Tohu decided it would be better and safer if they went some where if his sacrifices choice. Otherwise there might be more screaming. And next time more people could get involved. People who would ask questions.... Questions that Tohu was strictly forbidden to answer.

As he watched Tohu, standing, offering his hand out for Kalvin to take, he knew. The other didn't have to tack the words onto the end of his sentence. He could feel it through this strange little crimson string attached to both of their torsos, wrapping around them loosely. This person would follow him anywhere. Even to the afterlife, if Kal so wished.

He had moved before even thinking, standing and wrapping his arms protectively around Tohu's shoulders. It happened in the blink of an eye, and then they were standing at the mouth of an alleyway, embracing somewhat awkwardly, Kal's face in the crook of Tohu's neck, the hollow of his collarbone. Now that he had listened instead of throwing around accusations, he understood. This young man in front of him, now pulled against him, was attached to him in a way he didn't even understand. In ways he couldn't yet fathom.

"Thank you for trying to find me." he whispered, almost scared, as though no one else was allowed to hear the words. Even if Tohu had been too late to save his beloved sister, save his own soul, he had found him and saved him in a completely different way.

After a moment, Kal pulled away, keeping his hands on Tohu's shoulders, an arms length away. "...We can go to my place, if you don't mind. It's not much, but the woman who runs it is the safest, friendliest person. She'll take to you wonderfully." Not that it really mattered what she thought of Tohu, but to Kalvin, it really did. She was the only family he'd had since his sister died. And now the redhead was going to slip into that bubble of two people too, he could already tell. Cracking a smile at the thought, Kal glanced over at the street, now much emptier than when he first dodged into it.

His eyes flicked back to the alley way, glancing at the gun, the dumpster to the right, everything that had been familiar to him for years before he had been saved; found. There was a reason Kal had chosen this alley and not some other random one.

This one had been his home for years after he'd killed his mother.

Pale, almost milky blue eyes connected to lilac, and he pulled his fighter from the spot, leaving the gun where it lay, with a small, hopeful, scared smile. New beginnings always seemed to happen here.

In the blink of an eye Tohu felt the warmth of his sacrifice's arms around him. He didn't move, even though he itched to hold out his arms and embrace Kal. But he needed to take baby steps. As after all their new found relationship as sacrifice and fighter had only just started. He didn't want to scare Kal away. How ever handsome he may be.

It was nice though. The two of them alone. It was as if time had stopped. He could barely hear any thing except the rustle of the leaves as they were picked up and lazily scattered around by the gentle breeze that was coming to them from outside of their little world.

All control he had over his arms had been intact, that was until Kal said some thing so sweet. Tohu just smiled to himself and nodded a little. His arms however had a different idea and they hugged Kal briefly back before the two males stood an arms length apart with Kal's arms holding him out.

"Of course! That sounds like an excellent idea!" He said his eyes connecting with Kal's pale blue ones as his smile got bigger.

Before they exited the alley way. Tohu paused briefly and looked over his shoulder. Remembering the conversation that had just passed between them. The meeting, while not what he had dreamed of, had, in the end gone well. He still had his sacrifice along side him and any immediate danger had passed so far. Any now they were getting along. It was not what he had dreamed of, but atleast he had finally found his other half.
