Do you love to farm for hours on end?
Do you love to show your creativity by building elaborate houses and other various things out of blocks?
Do you love banding together with your fellow rpers to survive the rough night because you got lost on some adventure?
If you said yes to any of these then Minecraft is for you!
WHAT IS IT?Don't know what Minecraft is? Well here is a
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] for you! To lazy to look at the wiki? Well then let me give you a brief explanation! Minecraft is basically a gigantic sandbox game where you take textured cubes in a generated 3D world and make things out of them using a variety of tools and things. There is also a variety of animals to help populate the world along with useless villagers. During the day, you have free roam of the place without much danger. However, at night, it becomes dangers with things such as zombies, skeletons, Creepers (they blow up at you), and Endermen (think Slenderman). You, of course, have different ways to get around the nights. Now, you can play both multiplayer and solo. Multiplayer allows you to join up with other people and make things. Solo... is well... solo play.
THAT'S NICE. WHAT'S THE POINT AND HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THE IDEA? So, in the midst of playing Minecraft one night while talking to our dear Admin, Rose, it occurred to me that Minecraft could be an excellent way to show off our creative skills and bond!
The way we could do this is through the multiplayer option. Someone would have to create a private server (most likely will be me) and whitelist everyone that wants to join.
Through this game, we could create our own city! Whether it be the city from our lovely forum or just a random place with random things is up to you! We could have schedule meetings along with those who just feel like getting on at random times to play around whether someone else is on or not. We can flesh these things out later though.
BUT WAIT, MEL! WHERE CAN WE GET IT? CAN YOU BUY IT IN A STORE OR ONLINE?Oh yea! Silly me. THIS IS
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]!
You can do both! Minecraft is available to buy online, but you can also go to your local Gamestop or like supermarket and just ask about Minecraft Prepaid Game Cards!
PREPAID? IS IT A MONTHLY/YEARLY THING?No, it isn't! It's a one time payment, but if you buy it from a store, it comes in a prepaid card format.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?It roughly comes out to be 27 American Dollars in all if I remember correctly!
Anyhoo, leave your comments and any other ideas. Plus, say whether you even think its a good idea in the first place!
