A shock of untampered terror shot through Karasu's nerves when his ring was echoed back to him. It had such a strong effect that he found himself on his feet, no recollection of having stood, staring after the fighter who was the cause of his sudden panic. She'd looked him in the eye. He knew she wasn't his fighter. So why the fuck did she have his ring?

Reality check. He was in the middle of a meeting. An important one. Which he ought to try to salvage. But no matter how important this meeting might be to the company, what mattered most to Karasu was his freedom. Which meant he couldn't let her out of his sight. Not when she was such an obvious threat to that freedom.

He was vaguely aware of the discomfort of a completed ring as two women entered the cafe. Excusing himself smoothly from his meeting, he walked past them, following the blonde. He caught fragments of their conversation. Something about marks, meanings, puzzles. But it didn't take hold in his mind, becoming a mixed-up mess of vowels and consonants.

He stopped outside of the employee-only area and nearly cursed. Forcing himself to remain calm, he sent out a blast of his ring, hoping to hear her echo.

Hoping he wouldn't lose track of the threat.

She slipped back into the first server station, leaving the server book and card she had stolen somewhere were the young girl she had taken it from would find it. Cold eyes turned over her shoulder at the sound of a new complete unit walking into the café. Carefree smiles and annoying blasting sound. A newer unit, young and untrained, not something of her interest as her eyes turned away from them as she walked back into the back of the house. The aura of the ‘happy go lucky’ waitress fell away as she door slammed shut, her face falling back into the empty expression of the doll she was turning about the empty hall looking down at the several strains of hair she had been able to gentle pull out from the others long hair.

Her hand tightened around them as she turned to walk back to the changing room, too small for her heels clicking on the tile floor as she stepped in. No need to rush, the simple warning stated to the other of being watched had been plain. The cancelation of the others own tone by manipulation, turning the effect onto itself. Hand’s turned the fabric of the uniform she was in over as she stripped down out of it and replacing it with the business suit of the bloodhound. Though she would only be walking upstairs to strip back out of these clothing again did not keep the blonde from putting the clothing back on as if she had been in them all along. Smoothing out the jacket, Shivani pulled her hair back up into the tight bun before her hands fell to her sides. Grey bluish eyes staring at the reflection in the mirror inside the small locker. Uniform replaced, hung back up along with stocks folded, shoes slipped in the right spot they had been. As if no one had even opened the locker.

The blasting sound of the Trusted came, but the blonde did not allow the tone to return back to its sources. The sacrifice had come looking for her, whatever for, Shivani had little interest in, she had not challenged the other, nor would she now. None the less, the young fighter turned her eyes back to the several strains of hair wrapped up in her hand. Taking out the test tube of spiders, she left several fall in side, others were placed into an empty on. But she kept a single one out that was wrapped around a small needle.

A repeat of the sound came again since she had not returned the echo, as she stood there in front of the small mirror in the locker. Opening her mouth she took the hair wrapped needle and stuck it into her tongue.

The locker door shut quietly as Shivani then turned, walking out of the changing room empty expression upon her face as she stepped back into the hall that would lead to the stairs up to the apartments. The target in question standing there.

He silenced his ring the moment the fighter was back in view. Stepping up beside her, he spoke. "Who are you? Who do you work for? What the fuck was that stunt just now?" He reached out an grabbed her arm, forcing her to look at him. "Answer me, fighter. Why are you targeting me?" In the back of his mind, he knew this was a bad idea. In the back of his mind, he knew this was dangerous. In the back of his mind, he knew he should get the Hell away from her. But the back of his mind wasn't in control. And the part that was, wanted answers. Now.

Café Süsse Festlichkeit  - Page 2 Shibat11
[A=4, W=10]

A hand on her left hand forced her to turn to face the young ‘man’ dark eyes, dangerous tainted voice demanding answers. Why? Wasn’t that the common things individuals asked when they realized they were being watched by the hounds of the secret society they existed in. Even though the other killed off the ring, a ring that made others Trust them, made them believe some since of security around this one, Shivani however did not kill back the echo that sounded back now the moment just before the other cut out. True, reactions from certain units vary, certain ones scatter and it takes her a while to find them again, others out right attack, but that is when it was either a fighter or the complete unit was present.

But this individual without the presences it seemed of another, for there were no other echoes, not feel of another unit since the other little group have left that there was anyone near for this one. So ether this individual was a complete idiot for what they were doing, or had insurance much in the same way the blonde sacrifice she was bound to did.. Greyish blue eyes turned away from the other without interest or emotional expression of shock for the sudden movement as cold empty wards left her lips. Unnoticed , she flicked her wrist inside the jacket sleeve of her uniform just right to knock down on of the find long needles down into her free hand.

"Like Voodoo Doll and Master we be,
One to bear the damage;
The other to endure the anguish."

Just as the words finished, her hand pushed the needle just below the top of her own hip done far enough into the joint.

[W=16]

His eyes narrowed as the fighter spoke. So not the words he wanted to hear. "Hun, I don't play with dolls. Never have." He tightened his grip on her wrist, bringing his other hand up to turn her face toward him. "Now, answer my questions, little Doll. Who are you, who do you work for, and why the Hell are you targeting me now?" The order was plain as day. He didn't have time for mindgames and misdirections. It only occurred to him after the order was issued that the fighter had actually used a spell on him...and he'd shrugged it off in his agitation? That...was something he'd have to look into. Later. Now, to get answers.

The spell was incomplete, She had allowed the sound of the other to resounding her body for so long the easy fleet of falling for a simple order to stop. The tension in her leg as it seemed to freeze up locked in the position she was standing. Blank eyes however look at the other she closed out her body to the sound of the sacrifice before her. Demanding things so simple mindedly, instead of taking in the danger of the situation he or well it was in. Though for several moment, regardless of how much the other wanted the blonde to answer his question Shivani made no motion to do so.

It was not in her orders to reply back to prey.

Capture or watch, listen and ploy, plot or kill; her instruction for this one however had only been to listen and gather information. Standing orders from the previous headmaster to the blonde sacrifice that control her strings. Nonetheless, in the end for the doll who or how old orders where they were by fact the only thing that kept her body breathing.

Who she was?

The other had already had the answer to that question after all it had just spoken the words off those lips. The doll, the puppet pulled on strings to a very simple dance of hunt and retrieve. Though to many know who bother to keep mind of the ‘world’ they secretly belonged to the uniform she was now standing in was a dead giveaway for that of a Bloodhound.

Why this one was a target?

Simple ideology, why was this one a target before the shift in power wasn’t relevant any more. It was more now the current headmaster’s wishes that lead the doll on her path. All units were to come to the Moons at least once, to register in the Census. Their undoing in the end if no one figure it out in time.

However, regardless of these Shivani just blankly stare at the other, free of any wondering thought about anything at all. Empty..

Soulless…

The power of the others control of her though ended as her body finally no longer echoed back the sound of Trusted leaving her once again a BLANK a fighter to no single person. A simple shift of one heel behind the leg of the long haired ‘male’ before her to tip the others balance out of hand slightly was enough to slip her hand out of ‘his’ hold turning on her other heel out of reach. Simple elegant strides away from the sacrifice to the stairs that would lead up to her single room apartment. Time spent on this was unnecessary and uncalled for there were other things that required the attention of a puppet then a prey meant only to be observed. A hand though moved to push the untamed hair of hers off her shoulder as she ascended leaving the other with only a single worded answer to ‘his’ question in a characteristical voice fitting to Malik.

Woof

Masa had removed his eye patch and hid the wooden sword elsewhere. The graphic band tee was a bit tight against his frame and his destroyed jeans hugged his hips. His one gold looked around seeing if he saw anyone of his potential prey so far nothing. His ring is off even for being a blank but he felt others. Going to the line he looked at the menu while he waited and listened to conversations and felt rings echoing off the walls. Some louder than others but damn they were loud. Gold rolling and searching as he stood in the line waiting to order.

That little bitch. Karasu's hands clenched into fists as his teeth gnashed together. The moment the blonde was out of sight, he spun on his heels and strode back through the restaurant. The clients he'd been entertaining were sitting at their table, looking rather nervous and disturbed. He inwardly cursed his own panic as he pasted a facade of embarrassment on his face and approached them. "My apologies, gentlemen. Something has come up, and I must cut this meeting short. Did you sign the--no? Well, I'll leave them with you. Look over them at your leisure and fax them back to the office if you do decide to sign." He placed some money on the table--enough to cover all of them--and turned away.

The moment his back was to them, his features became a sort of mask, void of all emotion, even as his violet eyes glinted in violent indignation, fear and rage. It took seemingly all his control to keep his stride slow, to pretend to be calm. Yet, with each moment it took to reach the exit, he could feel his muscles twitching with the urge to run, far and fast. To escape this new threat to the security he'd managed to find after two years of hiding from Seven Moons. Seven Moons...Ritsu's "Bloodhounds"...no, it couldn't... Woof. SHIT. He quickened his pace. That bitch was a Bloodhound. There was no other explanation for that response, for her behaviour. No other reason he'd be targeted than that Ritsu's successor was as much of an ass as Ritsu had been.

He was so caught up in his thoughts that for a moment, he forgot to watch where he was going. His shoulder and part of his chest slammed into a long-haired man with only one eye, and he took a half-step back, his mask suddenly slipping. There was a soft, almost feverish hum surrounding the Trusted sacrifice now, his control of his ring, his emotions, his thoughts, everything spinning out of control at a fast clip. He had to reign himself in. Wild amethysts turned to the man before him, narrowing as he instinctively locked on to a convenient target. "Out of my way." He pushed past the man, all but running from the small cafe.

[Karasu has left Café Süsse Festlichkeit [always open] and is headed to Kobayashi Home.]

Masa stretched his shoulder and looked at the menu with his one gold eye. Nothing looked interesting except for some scones. He was debating on taking a variety box home and snacking on that for the week. Great to have in the morning warmed and with a cup of coffee. The breakfast of champions for a man who prefers not to cook. Shaking his head a bit he cared not if his scar was seen. Scanning the menus for anything else until he was bumped but a unit. It had a ring. He could tell but something about it was off. He was unsure what it was but when it made the remark he chuckled to himself. "That one for sure is to be on my list." he sighed under his breath almost inaudibly as he decided to get into the line for his variety scones.

She was fairly skipping along, her blue hair cheerfully swirling around her hips. she cradled the bag that held her vase of daisies and hair piece, not wanting it to get damaged by any passerby. It was great to be so free, even if she'd have to be back to the hotel soon to change. The young woman grinned brightly as she came upon the cafe, just where she thought she'd remembered seeing it. She started to have doubts; just because she hadn't been mobbed yet didn't mean anything. A shiver climbed her spin until she stuffed it back down. Nothing was going to happen; she was going to get something to eat, maybe a drink, and she was going to return to the hotel. Simple as that. When the butterflies in her stomach had receeded sufficiently enough, the young woman opened the door and walked in. She knew exactly what she wanted and repeated it in her head, a litany against nerves. Raspberry cheesecake and a large Hazlenut coffee. Raspberry cheesecake and a large Hazlenut coffee. Regular not decaf, right? I'll need the caffiene to get me through the show. Raspberry... DJ inserted herself to the end of the line behind the counter. It was all cool; the word was hidden, since her right hand was tucked into her chest, the arm cradling the flowers to her body still.

God's the line was taking forever and the female clerk was just chatting away with every customer she came into contact with at the register. Masa's golden eye narrowed as he looked ahead of him in the line. People with various types of clothing giving off who they were as of this moment. Business men grabbing coffee for the late hours, school kids trying to snack and do homework before heading home, housewives on their coffee kick. He shuddered. Women like that always traveled in packs. Then there was Masamune...the laid back I don't give a shit guy with a look on his face that says try me. The line inched forward and from the looks of it the place was a little understaffed today. They had more cooks than people for ringing up and customer service. Stuffing his hands into his torn denim jean pockets he tossed his head back a bit to get his hair from in front of his one good eye. Masa looked around again at the many pastries in the case. His mind whirling as to what he wanted in his variety box once he made it to the register.

The bell rang again signalling more people were coming and going out of the little shop. It always seemed to be busy but then again it was rush hour right about now. Masa looked at his old phone and sighed as he saw the time. Late afternoon early evening your choice to pick but the man knew one thing was on his mind and that was his hit list. So many places and yet he was going to make sure he had fun at them all. Behind him he felt something....It almost felt like an itch behind him and he knew a unit was around somewhere. Taking a quick glance back he didn't see anyone out of interest so he looked ahead again. Staring at a wall for a few moments more until his eye returned to the case filled with pastries.

A small groan issued from the young woman. At this rate, she'd reach the register after the show was finished; okay, maybe not quite, but the line was unbelievably slow. Why on earth was what looked to be the only cashier being so friendly to everyone? Not all the customers waiting in line wanted to chit-chat, and she knew she wasn't the only one who was on a schedule. The girl up front was being airheaded, and it wasn't putting the blue haired young woman in a better mood. DJ was struggling to keep from hyperventalating; there were just too many people in this place for her, but she was already in line, and already knew what she wanted. Just going to have to suck it up. You got into this, and not a single person is bothering you, so there's no reason to be freaking out. She berated herself, momentarily forgetting her litany of things to buy. She had this sick feeling in the pit of her stomach, but she couldn't tell what caused it. More than likely the fact that I'm getting worried over nothing. Now what was it I was going to get? Oh, yes! Rasp...

He sighed as he was coming closer to the register and soon he will have those delicate pastries. Fluffy and sweet and yet a melt in your mouth experience. Once the person in front moved down the line he growled. He climped the small railing and jumped to the countertop which frightened the girl who dropped the money in her hand. She was shivering and Masa just smirked as he leaned in and whispered something in her ear. "You might want to speed it up chica. I am an impatient man and I don't have time to wait on you. Hurry up or I will tear this place apart in 1 minute. Your time just started." He stated as he jumped off and walked back to the line. He saw a girl holding a bag of flowers and looking nervous. Masa narrowed his eye a bit and shook his head, "What is wrong with you? I thought girls loved coffee? I have never seen women look scared nor angry when coming to a cafe like this one." He scoffed as he got back in line as the cashier didn't talk she just rang up people.

The young woman stared in shock as one of the men in line jumped out of line and to the girl at the register; he must have said something to terrify the poor thing, since she was now working as quickly as possible. She was grateful, but she didn't say so after what the rude brute said to her. At least, DJ thought he said it to her. Is he talking to me? I don't look nervous do I? Is that why no one's bothering me? What should I do? How should I answer him? She almost shook her head to clear it of the circling questions, finally settling on the simplest response. She just wouldn't answer; he was being rude, and she didn't know he was talking to her, after all. Her gold eyes watched the line growing shorter, counting the heads until her escape back to the safety of the hotel. The sick feeling in her stomach wasn't settling, but she knew she'd be fine as soon as she was alone and could just breathe. Now of course, she remembered why she wasn't supposed to wander about alone, which made the scar on her shoulderblade itch. She swapped what hand the flowers were in and reached back to scratch lightly at the stupid thing. If she just pretended she was an anonymous stranger that hadn't had anyone notice her, DJ thought that she just might make it until she placed her order. Yes, that would be the safest bet.

Masa was confused as the girl look dumbfounded at him. His gold narrowed for a second as he got back into the line and shrugged his shoulders. Looking as the line quickly diminished and soon it was Masa's turn. He walked up to the registar removing his hands from his back jeans pocket and leaned against the countertop of the register. His evil smirk and single gold eye watching the woman as intently as a snake ready to choke her to death. "I want a dozen variety scones. Make it quick or I will make it become you wish you never had a life." Masa stated as the girl squeaked as quietly as a mouse. She hurried and grabbed a box. Fumbling with trying to get it open she ripped it. "Hurry up mouse. We ain't got all day." Masa snapped as he growled at her. "Sorry sorry" she said as she managed to get a box folded open. "a va-ariety yes?" she asked hesitantly as Masa just gave an evil rapist sort of smile. "Yup. Time is ticking mouse." He said pointing to the clock on the back wall. She almost squeaked again but thought it best not to as she rushed placing things inside the flimsy material. Once she finished he closed the box and rang him up. "1086.34 Yen please" she muttered. "You managed to make it in time mouse." he said handing her the money and snatching up the change when she gave it to him. Masa walked out the door eating a scone.

DJ sighed quietly in relief when the male left the building completely. She gave the poor girl behind the counter a shaky smile. "I would like a raspberry cheesecake and a large hazlenut coffee." Her mind started to drift as she automatically handed over the amount of money the girl asked for and took her change. Surprisingly, It didn't take very much time at all for the girl to hand her the cheesecake and the coffee. DJ stared at the tables, but stuck with her original plan to return to the hotel. Maybe there, I can breathe. She looked down at the flowers she cradled and smiled gently; they'd been worth it.

[DJ has left and is going to the Chloe Street Motel.]

The sounds of the busy café echoed even all the way into the black hall area, that separated the employee changing room and the kitchen. It was also served as the walk way to the upstairs tenets to get into their apartments. She walked down the stair with a hand against the wall if as unsure of her heels and the stairs, a soft happy smile on her face as she made her way down them. If anyone was to come out from either room, none of the staff would recognize her. She would be question about being here, and the best answer she could give them?

Was using advantage of the other tenets here in the apartments above the store.

After learning a lot of their behaviors it was easy to explain a ‘unknown female as a ‘ ”o—ahah” blushing female “I was just see” ‘ and that was about as far as Shivani ever had to get before the other individual just brushed it off and let her leave. As she got off the stairs she ‘fused’ with her dress and hair again as if it could have possably gotten messed up coming down a flight of stairs before she made her way to the door. Hips swing, very much unlike the way Shivani normally walked.

It was time to catch a mouse…
