As the young adult lay in the cold grass, she could feel the air growing colder by each second. It pricked at her skin, though the cold didn’t make Kiyokuro want to cry. It was a totally different idea. Laying besides her is her Ipod, the device she uses almost constantly. It played a variety of melodies, her favorite played over and over. Yet it made her heart ache with pain, “Is this.. What alone.. Really sounds like? Or is this what love sounds like…? The drums beat so slowly, like a dying heart, or do they beat slowly because one has made it melt? Or is it... The sound for curiousness? Of wondering what they meant..
Her thoughts started to override her mouth, "I don't understand what they are! These units. Sacrifices, fighters, blanks? Why can I feel this feeling, but see no name?"
Kiyokuro let out a sigh as she reached her hands up to her face, covering the tears that fell from her brown eyes. The adult took in a deep breath. She let it out slowly yet it was unsteady. As she heard herself breathe she ended up crying even more. “I-I.. I can’t let myself do this! No! I’m going to stop this now!” Kiyokuro yelled at herself before jumping up off the ground, she started to walk away from her area but found herself crashing into a lamp post.
Falling backwards onto her rear, Kiyokuro held her head as she started to cry even more. “Wahhh! W-Why is it always me!” She muffled into her arms while crossing them over her knees and placing her head in her lap. Kiyokuro breathed before she looked up at the post, she then instantly took her hair in great, messy, locks and started to brush them against her body.
A-All.. All I can do is try again! When you fall… What do you do? You get right back up!” She recited her father’s words as she stood back up. Though she leaned against the post after standing. It supported her small figure while she saw her tears fall onto her cheeks. “But.. How do you cure unknowing?” Kiyokuro breathed as she continued to lean. She let her eyes close as she crossed her arms over to rub them softly. "I need to go home… I need to prepare for tomorrow, it’s going to be such a busy day..” She started to walk again but found herself falling backwards instead.

The child ran out of breath in a park of some kind. He hid in a more densely wooded area of it and sat on the ground, nearly falling on his butt - he was just that tired. He hadn't eaten, and he knew that running away like that was the worst thing to do, but he couldn't help it. He had to get away from there and find a way home. His mother was sick and needed him - it wasn't right that other adults had taken him from her. He leaned his head back against the tree and listened as he caught his breath and tried to force more energy into his tired body.

He stiffened when he heard a voice, but it was a girl's voice. Or at least a female one - she couldn't possibly know, right? Was she safe? He had to try - it was too cold to sit here too long. The child stood and watched as the adult seemed to start falling. So, she was an adult; maybe approaching her wasn't a good idea after all. Then again, the red head had escaped someone less clumsy, so he could always get away again. Aodan approached her. "Lost. Aodan lost," was all he could manage with his limited knowledge of the japanese language. He had to hope she understood him and spoke slowly - or else he'd be no better off, and probably worse off instead.

Ariadne shuffled on the spot, looking up at her mother and just waiting for her to turn in the other direction. As soon as she did, Ariadne was running off, down the street and looking behind her. Her mother hadn't noticed yet, and neither had the man she was talking to. Grinning to herself, Ariadne turned the next corner and looked in front of her, panting from just running down the street and showing how much she didn't get to do things like that. There wasn't much around, but she was sure there would be somewhere she could go and maybe meet some new friends.

Shrugging, she started walking forward, hands bunched up in her pockets. Without even knowing where she was going she ended up heading towards a small park. She could see two figures - a child and an adult. Family, maybe? - there and headed towards their direction but didn't approach them. Instead, she headed towards the swings to sit on one. From the limited times her father had taken her to parks, the swings had always been one of her favourite things to go on and she would go on them as much as she could, her father pushing her. Except he wasn't there today, so she was alone.

Frowning to herself, she started kicking her legs, trying to make the swing move.

It was a sudden shock to find herself falling backwards again. Though that didn't stop her from falling. The adult, Kiyokuro fell on her rear and sat there for a brief moment, before suddenly being in contact with a child. She took a moment to understand the poor quality of Japanese, but she finally got what he was saying and stood quickly. A sudden rush came to Kiyokuro's head, but she got over it within a few minutes. She then knelt besides the child, "Are you hurt? Do you know where you last saw your parents?" Kiyokuro tried no to rush herself.
Questions flooded Kiyokuro's mind, "Does he even speak Japanese? If he doesn't should I speak in English?! But what if he doesn't know English either.. Wait.. Go back to the original topic! This boy is lost, I need to get him back to his parents."
On that note, Kiyokuro looked around to see anyone that might resemble him, instead only seeing another figure sitting on the swings and kicking her legs. "Why are children out so late? I wonder if she's lost too..." Kiyokuro mumbled to herself before standing all the way, taking the boy's hand in her own tightly. A habit that she learned from her father, he always held onto her hand a certain way making sure she would be pulled away by creepy strangers. At this moment, Kiyokuro looked like the creepy stranger. So to break this look, she looked down at the child and gave a warm smile through her face of concern, "Trust me, I won't let anything happen to you." She said simply in Japanese before repeating it in English. Kiyokuro had then walked the child over to the swing set.
"Excuse me, dear. Are you lost too?" Kiyokuro asked in a gentle voice. She had learned speaking to children is different than spaeking to teens or adults. "They're just kids, no need to put them under stress. Best way to deal with this is by being calm." Kiyokuro thoughts penetrated through her worry and concern as she tried her best to show a nice and friendly smile.

He could tell that she was trying to speak slowly, but she was still too fast for him to understand. The child shook his head, but she didn't seem to notice it, since she was looking around - to find his family, he could only guess. But there was only another child; the rest of the park was empty. The adult stood and took his hand - so tightly it hurt. He was suddenly terrified of this woman and wanted to pull free of her grip. Her smile and reassurance in English - that he understood only marginally better than the Japanese one - only made it worse. He didn't seem to have much of a choice, though, as he was led - almost dragged - to the other child on the swings.

The woman said something to the child on the swing, but Aodan wasn't paying enough attention to her to attempt to figure it out. His chest hurt, but he felt light enough to fly at the same time; what was wrong with him? Now that he looked at the other child, he discovered it was a girl, and she didn't look lost or scared. She looked like a - {"Like an angel,"} he whispered in Gaelic to himself. He didn't even notice what a girl looked like half the time, but he couldn't think of another word for this one.

Home was a far away, but it didn't matter. Just being near an angel helped. He pulled his hand free of the woman's grasp and shook it to soothe the pain, but he didn't run away; rather he sat in one of the empty swings. He wasn't in danger yet. Maybe - it was hard to be sure when you didn't speak the language.

Ariadne listened in shamelessly as the woman talked to the boy. She could only hear some of the words, but she could see that the boy looked very nervous around the woman. Was it because she was an adult? Ariadne couldn't relate to his dislike of adults, if it was that, as the only time an adult had harmed her was when they had kidnapped her and hurt her eye or when they used her to get close to her parents. The latter was quite a few times, but not enough to ruin her faith and trust in most of the adults she met, and this lady seemed nice from how she was speaking softly. She wanted to help them, apparently.

When the nice lady came over to her and asked if she was lost, Ariadne shook her head swiftly, her hair flying around. She looked at the boy and tilted her head as she watched him shake his hand and walk to an empty swing. Smiling brightly, Ariadne turned back to the lady. "Nope! I ran away from Mama," She lowered her voice to a whisper, as if telling a big secret. "I don't get to come to the park much, so I ran here now. I don't think she'll notice for a while.." She trailed off and bit her lip, looking around the park and narrowing her eyes, hoping that it would help her see further away with just one eye.

Turning her head back to the boy, she decided to ask him if he spoke her native language - which was French - and if not, English. "Um.. Parlez vous francais?," She asked him and then switched the language she was speaking in. "Or do you speak English?" She folded her hands into her lap, smiling politely at the boy as she was taught to do, but she kept an eye on the lady in case something happened.

The young adult could feel the boy pulled away from her, at first she felt scared that someone had took him, but she realized it was just him going over to the swing set. She smiled at him, he didn't look as worried as he did when she came in contact with him. This girl must have been a good sign.

Kiyokuro, the adult, looked back over at the girl, she was smiling but it slowly turned to a frown when she discovered that she had ran away from her mother! Kiyokuro couldn't remember a day that she was away from her father, they virtually went everywhere. "Well, that isn't very nice to do to your mother, I mean she could get really worried. Don't stay too long so your mother doesn't get really worried about you." She smiled once more and patted the girl softly on the head.
Kiyokuro stood and leaned against the frame of the swing set. "I don't want to leave these children here by themselves, something bad could happen..." She thought as she folded her arms around her waist, another habit she obtained while with her father. Slowly Kiyokuro's mind wondered off to how her father was doing, she hadn't talk to him since one of her shoots, but everything should be fine, right? Since she would return work tomorrow at the cafe.
Then again, he has been sick lately..” Kiyokuro’s lips moved slightly as she spoke out loud to herself, suddenly turning her attention to the girl and the boy. She spoke in French, Kiyokuro remembered this language from one of her shoots in France, though she didn’t know a whole lot of it to carry on a good conversation. Kiyokuro then recognized the English and assumed she had asked if the boy knew the language. “I wonder what he’s doing in Japan if he doesn’t know Japanese…” Kiyokuro asked out loud.

He watched the angel, curious as to what she was saying and doing. He couldn't understand it, but she seemed to be searching for something in the distance. What had happened to her eye? She wasn't acting scared, so what - or who - she was searching for hadn't caused the injury, directly at least. The two females spoke too fast for his limited grasp of Japanese, but even he could see the adult's frown over something the angel had said.

The angel turned to him and spoke. It didn't sound like any language he'd ever heard. So she spoke three languages? Maybe then, he could find someone that spoke the tongue of his beautiful homeland. He answered her question in English. "I speak it some. Better than my Japanese by a lot. What all did she say? She talks too fast." He asked, referring to the adult. It was frustrating to want to know what was being said but not able to speak the language - that was why he usually just tuned out the conversations around him. The little red head was careful not to reveal too much about himself, though it was difficult, almost impossible, to conceal his origins.

He didn't dislike girls, in fact he liked them, even if most of them weren't as much fun as a boy and were kind of gross to touch. In this case, though, the angel caused something inside him to want to hold her hand; maybe it was the hurting-warm-comforting sensation that had caught him off guard when he neared her. He didn't trust this feeling - what was it, and why had he never felt it before? It made his chest feel like it would burst, but he felt like smiling and trying to fly - like he was a superhero or something. Could this angel make him one too? Was that why he felt like flying? But there were no angel wings on either him or the girl, so that couldn't be it. He could never be an angel, after all.

Ariadne tilted her head to the side, frowning. Her mother didn't really worry that much when she went missing - all she did was send someone to look for her. The young girl didn't think that other mothers did that when their children went missing, so she figured that she just wasn't cared about much. She smiled warmly at the woman in front of her. "S-She won't mind. Someone always finds me," She told her quietly, nodding her head firmly to show that she truly believed it. And it did. After all, this wasn't the first time that she had ran away, so her mother and father must be used to it by now. If not, well, then their loss.

Her head turned to the boy on the swing beside her and a warm feeling spread through her chest when she looked him right in the eye and heard his voice. Frowning to herself, she patted her chest and shrugged, looking back to the boy. "O-Oh! You speak English? The lady asked if we were lost, then she said running away from my Mama was bad," Huffing slightly, Ariadne shook her head and then smiled brightly at the boy. "T-Then she asked herself why you're in Japan if you can't speak Jap-- Japa-- Japanese!" She grinned, proud of herself for saying a hard word. Her accent shone through when she said it, but she didn't notice. She only really noticed stumbling over words and which ones were hard.

Jumping off the swing, she moved closer to the boy and stood in front of him, holding his swing by the chains. "M-M Um.. my name is Ariadne," She told him, holding her wordless hand out to him. She didn't want to scare him away with it - only weird people had words on their hands that they didn't put on. That she knew of, anyway. Ariadne felt as though she should get closer to this boy, and she was going to no matter what this risks. She didn't want to loose the feeling that she felt when she looked at him.

This girl, just what was she? He didn't want to feel connected to this girl. The warm-hurting in his chest didn't go away, though, so no matter what, Ao knew he'd wind up learning about this angel. "Why did you run away?" He didn't sound like he was judging her, and his voice lowered for the next part. "I didn't want to come to this country to live with my cousin, so I ran as soon as he wasn't looking." It sounded stupid and spoiled when he said it out loud, but he knew he'd do it again. Even if he was caught or had nowhere to go, he'd do it again.

He smiled - a little shyly - when she introduced herself. He was confused when she held out her hand; was he supposed to shake it or hold it - or what? He didn't like handshakes; they always seemed stupid to him, but he wanted to touch her - just to see if she was real. He reached out with his left hand, making sure the word stayed hidden, and held hers. It was the wrong hand for a handshake, so he really was just holding her hand. "I'm Aodan," he answered, the hurting-warm feeling in his chest growing; it made him feel like maybe the future wouldn't be so bad - that they could be friends. What was this feeling? Was this "hope" or something else? Why had he never felt this before?

He jumped off his swing, still holding her hand, and let his smile grow a little brighter and wider. He made sure his ring was shut off completely; he didn't want to hurt this angel like that - and maybe not the adult he'd spoken to first, either. They were both nice. He didn't gesture or look at the adult when he spoke, but it was obvious that he was asking about her. "Do you know what she's going to do about us? I don't want to go back there."
