Unit Rings

Unit rings. They’re one source of power for a Unit, and each one is different and unique depending on the Unit’s name and the meaning they derive from it. Some are meant to attack other Units, others attack the environment itself, some even only affect the Unit themselves. Just as the effect is different, the way in which they are used is also different. Some can only be used with a unit is together, others can be used when the two are separated. There are also certain ways each ring can be cancelled out. If a Unit has a ring that is opposite of your’s then the rings are nullified since they cancel each other out.

Here is were you post just what exactly your characters’ Unit rings do, how they are used, and the ways they can be canceled out. Please be sure to include all your characters in one post, you made go back and edit/update it as needed. Even if your partner has already posted for their Unit character, go ahead and post your’s as well as not all members of a Unit have to have the same ring effect (when a Sacrifice claims a Blank the Blank does not always gain a ring to ‘perfectly’ match their Sacrifice’s as they are not two halves of the same soul. Or when two people have the same name, but have different meanings for that name it can result in the rings being different). Blanks must be posted as well, though they will have a different format for posting.

Blank Standard-
Character name: Myles Pierson
Chosen unit position: Fighter/Sacrifice
Special ring ability: chameleon effect, he can copy the ring of other Units when they are in range in order to blend in and remain undetected, he can not use the actual rings effects on others however
Rings that cancel this effect out: Unit rings dealing with singularity, uniqueness, or distinctness

Character Name: Dokaku Masamune
Chosen Unit Position: Fighter
Special Ring Ability: Causes the hidden rage and anger to surface even through one's suppression they will feel that slight annoyance if they are a stronger unit.
Ways to Cancel out his Ring: Keeping a level head at all times and be unwavering no mater what. The moment your emotions start to show he will use that to his advantage. Be warned he is a Rogue and will use under handed tricks to cause you to falter.
Rings that Cancel this Out: Boundless, Eternal, Anything with silence or freedom will make him lose his mind a bit. More Units will be added as more are created.

Unit name: Fearless
Unit position: Sacrifice
Character name: Takumi Matsumoto
Ring effect: Causes others to be unable to feel fear. (Takumi is unable to feel fear, regardless of his ring.)
Ring usage: Latent, no requirements
Ways to cancel out ring: spell/ring that causes fear
Rings that cancel this effect out: Nightmare Sacrifice

Unit name: Trusted
Unit position: Sacrifice
Character name: Karasu Kobayashi
Ring effect: The effect varies by the intensity Kara allows to be audible. Her ring is soothing when it's quiet, but then it makes you trust her, and at its loudest, it creates a sudden, almost maddening sensation of betrayal.
Ring usage: Only works when alone or when Fighter's ring is at opposing intensity.
Ways to cancel out ring: Bring the two halves of the Trusted unit together, echo the ring at a different intensity, be extremely hard-headed or have complete faith in your partner
Rings that cancel this effect out: Trusted cancels itself. Faithless/Faithful depending on intensity.
Other: "Ring" is a term that should be used lightly in Kara's case. Hers actually sounds like someone humming "Dies Irae."

Unit Name: Misery
Unit Position: Sacrifice
Character Name: Donavon "Ace" Hayes
Ring Effect: His ring is at an inaudibly high pitch that triggers the pain centers in the brain, causing those around him to feel a physical agony that is almost unbearable.
Ring Usage: Only comes into effect when he's extremely angry.
Ways to cancel out ring: being deaf, using a ring that cancels his, him calming the f*** down
Rings that cancel out this ring: Anything that can make him stop being angry. {I'm being told "Hope," but Ace is adamant that it's not possible for Hope to cancel his ring.}

Character name: Mamoru Kobayashi
Chosen unit position: Trained more as a Sacrifice, prefers acting as a Fighter.
Special ring ability: It's not so much an ability as it is human nature. The frequency of her ring can cause others to become irritable when they're around her too much, just like you can become irritable when there's a ringing in your ear that won't go away. In fact, it's that same frequency.
Ways to cancel out ring: ...Ear plugs so you don't hear it? ^^; It's just sound. Find a way to ignore it.
Rings that cancel this effect out:Since it isn't an ability at all, sorry, no cancelling this one.

Unit name: Misery
Unit position: Fighter
Character name: Mesatsu Wate
Ring effect: Like his sacrifice, his ring pitch is an inaudible pitch. When he is in pain (physically or emotionally. E.g. If he is upset.), other units get really distressed or get alot of discomfort. (His sacrifice's ring work's on physical pain, while Mesatsu works on emotional pain.)
Ring usage: Comes into effect when he is upset or in pain.
Ways to cancel out ring: Spells that can change emotion, cheer him up. Bring him together with his sacrifice.
Rings that cancel this effect out: If opposing unit's name is some thing to do with positive emotions. Hope, Happiness etc.

Unit name: Asphyxiate
Unit position: Fighter [Sacrifice is deceased]

Ring effect: Usually you do not hear so much as a peep from his ring it is usually so low normal human ears cannot hear it. He has reigned control over his ring that he can hush it or blast it when necessary. The effect his ring has on others is the feeling of claustrophobia. Of being alone and closed in. When its a unit together, it makes them feel as if they are alone and are being suffocated by not only air but their doubts, worries, fears etc. Because of his training in Germany he has also learnt to control whether he sends out the physical feeling or the emotional one.
Ring usage: Only when he needs it. But since coming to Japan from Germany, he fights alot less than he used to.
Ways to cancel out ring: Strong spells to do with being able to breathe or freedom.
Rings that cancel this effect out: A strong, close knit unit that are to do with the element air. [i.e Breathe.] Also units that are to do with freedom and non constriction.

Ring effect: at its lowest pitch sends chills of the ‘someone watching me’ effect on others to keep them away from himself; at its highest pitch ring cause an individual to see/feel their worst nightmares coming forth before their eyes as an illusion immobilizing them
Ring usage: Sacrifice can create effect without Fighter present
Ways to cancel out ring: Over come one’s individual fears, casing a spell that neglects the original effect
Rings that cancel this effect out: Rings that have opposition to Fear Factors, or Takes Fear and turn it into something else [Slven’s Ring]

Character name: Ayane Umizo
Ring effect: Ability to create a temporary ‘fake break’ ina units bond during spell battle making an Individual feel separated from their other. Outside of spell battle, Ayane and her Fighter can ‘locate/isolate ’ anyone by ‘dosing’ their location on a map.  
Ring usage: Requires the use of a personal item belonging to the individual and her Fighter
Rings that cancel this effect out: Rings that promote unity in others or strengthens bonds beyond normal standards

Unit position: Fighter
Character name: Yvette
Ring effect:Ability to see unit bonds, do detect Unit Name without being told, to fix broken bonds or forcefully break.
Ring usage: Can be done by this fighter as solo, but is stronger with unit complete. Requires Yvette to remember how to, but in return will cause her trauma

Ring effect: Echo, empowering or strengthening partner's effect
Ring usage: Requires to have a bind to another unit peice
Ways to cancel out ring: What ever cancels out namesake ring, unit that break's bonds

Unit name: BLANK {UNIVERSAL}
Unit position: EITHER
Character name: Shivani Iygari
Ring effect: Has the ability to 'mirror' any other unit ring, THe ability to take the ring in as her own and take control of it on someone else, or 'echo' back to cancel its effect on the original to either nullify or make a temporary break in a unit to cause confusion.
Ring usage: Can not be bound to use a certain name at the give time. [temperay bond usage outside of controller]

Unit Name: Dauntless
Unit Position: Fighter
Character Name: Charlotte Irene Delaine
Ring Effect: Gives her strength of will and centers her mind on her goal and the best way of achieving it
Ring Usage: Only used during battle; or under extreme duress or stress
Ways to cancel out ring: being deaf or having ear plugs
Rings that cancel out this ring: Rings that promote weakness or breaking of will




Unit Name: Harmony
Unit Position: Fighter
Character Name: Haru Matsumoto
Ring Effect: Has the effect of 'harmonizing' her world to her specifications. It basically functions as suggestions in the lower levels but can reach full on mind control levels at its highest
Ring Usage: Used for her or someone she cares for benefit but she usually only uses it in battle, or under extreme duress or stress
Ways to cancel out ring: being deaf as her voice is how she delivers the suggestions/orders; having a very strong will
Rings that cancel out this ring: Rings that inspire independence or strength of will/self




Unit Name: Enigma
Unit Position: Fighter
Character Name: Tenchi Jenoiu
Ring Effect: His ring causing extreme pain when heard because it is both at an extremely high frequency and features very strange noises and sounds. It also fluctuates in volume which only adds to the unpleasantness of his ring.
Ring Usage: Used in battle to confuse and disable opponents but also has a nasty habit of ringing when he under extreme stress/duress or when he experiences a sudden negative emotional shift
Ways to cancel out ring: being deaf is the only non-ring way of canceling it as it will go through ear plugs
Rings that cancel out this ring: Rings that promote silence or quiet are the only way

Character name: Robyn Diaz-Sakamoto
Ring effect: The effect varies by the intensity Robyn allows to be audible. Her ring is soothing when at its loudest, but then it makes you wary of her at mid-range. When it's quiet, it creates a sudden, almost maddening sensation of betrayal.
Ring usage: Only works when alone or when Sacrifice's ring is at opposing intensity.
Ways to cancel out ring: Bring the two halves of the Trusted unit together, echo the ring at a different intensity, be extremely hard-headed or have complete faith in your partner.
Rings that cancel this effect out: Trusted cancels itself. Faithless/Faithful depending on intensity.
Other: Similarly to Kara's, Robyn's ring sounds like someone humming a song, only hers is Apocalyptica's "Conclusion"

Unit name: Cherished
Unit position: Fighter
Character name: Heaven Dupre
Ring effect: Shows Cherished the enemy's most cherished thoughts, dreams, people, things, etc. (basically everything that person holds dear).
Ring usage: Together
Ways to cancel out ring: Cancelled out by others hurting their partner (casting a spell to do it; physically, emotionally, or psychologically hurting them).
Rings that cancel this effect out: Cancelled out by Names/rings/effects dealing with harming or hurting.

Unit name: Hope
Unit position: Fighter
Character name: Aodan O'Neill
Ring effect: Drains other units and regular humans of their hope.
Ring usage: Active at all times unless turned off or cancelled out. The effect is subtle at first and grows the longer one is with him.
Ways to cancel out ring: Don't have any hope (no emotions at all also applies).
Rings that cancel this effect out: Hope cancels itself. Names/rings/effects that deal with charity, giving hope, or cancelling out things.

Character name: Satou Dié
Chosen unit position: Sacrifice
Special ring ability: Butterfly effect: lowest intensity it makes her appear harmless and of no consequence (like a caterpillar). Mid-level it makes her unnoticeable, unmemorable, and practically invisible (cocoon stage). The highest intensity, however, draws the eye to her either by making her desirable in some way (this can be as bait, ransom, beauty, etc.) or making her appear important, but never dangerous (butterfly stage). Completely out of her control right now (linked to her emotions), and the effect is weak at the moment (it will grow with training).
Ways to cancel out ring: Be suspicious of everyone/thing. Cast a spell to remove illusions. Notice/ignore everyone/thing (depending on intensity).
Rings that cancel this effect out: Names/rings/effects dealing with truth/lies, illusion breaking, or cancelling things out.
Other: Hearing her ring is less like hearing anything and more like those times you feel happy or a burst of energy for no reason.
